Ah so I should stop riding it with the stock Mina exhaust? I don't want to fry it lol I have to fix the gear box it make noise when engine braking still plenty of oil in there.

I ran a stock 49cc pipe for many miles on a 96cc without issue. A small stinger on a tuned pipe, not so much. Started killing the top of the piston very quickly trying that.

I think I will leave it then I enjoy going 40 uphill anyways well not GPS verified I will take the gear box apart tomarow to figure out if I put the gear shim in between the gear cover bearing and the gear or if I left dirt in there lol I had to rush it which sucks because that's not good. Thank you!!!! Maybe in the future I will mess with this $90 cheapy
Oh I forgot to mention the original clutch had yellow springs
. Maybe I should try the ATV spring could be why I have poor acceleration at first the 49 took off from standstill faster and could do Wheelie's I can't with the 90. more tuning.

I have been reading for days lol I must be dumb headed the new 90 has horrible throttle response from idle it kicks in after at wot at around 5mph and takes off really well I thought it might be what frankenmech suggested about checking the CVT torque pins and grease them but I checked all of it when redoing the seal on my gear box. I am using the same carb as the other engine have not made any adjustments yet because I don't want to hurt it I can't tell if it is lean or rich. it also starts and idles well with out throttle. I have been messing around with contra springs and I think the yellow one works better so far but got to get the carb correct before I decide does any one know if I should use the ATV main/pilot jets with the 49cc exhaust?

Check the plug. Let it tell you. After all I read I didn't think to do that my god lol thank you! White is bad and dripping is bad so if it is a nice brown then its good? I will take a pic of it soon lots of family crap to do sigh. I will use this nice chart.

That looks good in that you seem to be on the rich/safe side of things. And yes the needle rather than the jet is where you want to go I think.

Yep looks a little rich. Could try the center slot on the needle- get the main jet dialed in, (looks like you could go down a little) then after you get the main jet/WOT squared away, finish off by tuning the needle for good mid-range throttle response...

What's your compression and squish clearance? Those seemed to be key to waking up my 90 and unleashing the beast!

Thank you Brent I have been waiting so patiently to tune and figure out what I want to do its been raining like a fcker here lol I like LC for some reason it runs cooler I think anyway and I think more can be pulled out of it for power. I really would only like a reliable 55mph cruise should not be to hard considering I'm almost there not verified. I have read all of the threads relating to this and I am sure I made the right decision with this adly engine thankful this forum exists!!! All other forums I have been apart of suck. I have never been able to make anything faster beyond stock as far as the project cars I have had so I said to my wife this time I'm not selling my project lol. Hopefully tomarow is a better day I can start messing with the carb exhaust and maybe advance timing very slightly.
