Came out near perfect. I'd say perfect but I see a ripple in the seat. Deduct 1 point for a score of 9. Seriously, it looks awesome and ya did a great job once again.
I hear someone calling you back... (inside joke)

As usual I made a video of the scoot for sale. I had to use my helmet cam for this one since I wanted to have both hands on the bar. It's not my best vid and of course this cam always splits the videos up into sections so here's both vids...

I've been meaning to do this for a while now and finally got to it today- dig into this Rattler CVT and see what's under the hood! Guess what I found?? This thing basically comes with an OVERRANGE TRANSMISSION Stock! lol. Seriously nice CVT system in this scoot. Let's take a little tour shall we? First off, check out this huge rear pulley- 130mm!- same as the nice big Piaggio ones... So if the huge rear pulley wasn't impressive enough, they topped that off with a friggin hugemungous clutch. The bell is 120mm! I did some looking around and it seems that these huge 120mm clutch and bells are typically used in the 125/150cc stuff. I kept seeing the Zuma 125 and lots of other bigger scoots that use this size. Oh, you know I had to check and see if it would fit on my scoot lol. Nope. Totally different splines... So yeah, big huge rear pulley the same size as the large Piggy ones, but with a big ol' clutch bolted to it too. Cool! I really liked that setup but I actually got excited when I checked out the variator. This thing is huge also! With extended guides too! Whoa this vari pretty much rivals the vari in the Malossi OR kits. Brent has the diameter of the (older) Maloss OR vari as 99.5mm here: 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/3442/malossi-large-spline-over-rangeThe diameter of the Rattlers vari? @109mm! Next to a stock Mina vari... Oh yeah, look at those nice shaved faces from the factory! This is a mod I like to do to my vari's to push the belt out to the very edge for best high speeds and they've already done it... Of course you can only push the travel of the faces so far before the ramp plate goes beyond the guides and starts eating the plastic bushings. I spent a lot of time and effort to modify my Hoca vari with extended guides (via Brent's "Homemade Overrange Variator" project: 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/1227/homemade-overrange-variator) so it can close up tight and get the belt out to the very edge. The Malossi OR vari's have these extended guides already in place. So what does this have to do with the Rattler's CVT? Check this out; Basically an OverRange variator STOCK! Yep, that baby can close up tight and really use the full diameter of that huge pulley! Really, the only improvement that I can see that could be made to rival the Malossi OR vari is to extend the roller ramps out. Other than that this vari is extremely similar to the Malossi OR vari. Sweet! Here's the cherry on top of the sundae; the splines match the large spline Mina stuff! Yep, slides right onto a Minarelli like it was made for it. Yep, this Rattler has a pretty sweet CVT setup. Here's a few more details I've noted: The roller weights are 16x13 and weighed 8.5 grams. Super stiff contra spring! Final drive ratio (I checked it three times to be sure): 10:1 This concludes our tour of the Genuine Rattler's CVT system. Thank you for riding the 49ccscoot information system and please come again. Framed photos are available for purchase at the giftshop near the exit. hehehe.
