I put the Rattler vari in my AIR scoot today and it doesn't really fit- well, it does but the mina crank just isn't long enough. With the ramp plate all the way back to where the spline cuts end there still wasn't enough room for the kick start pawl. (I have no e-start gear). The CVT cover wouldn't fit on either. Of course that didn't stop me from using an electric drill to start and drive the scoot. My belt isn't long enough to take advantage of this huge vari but with some modding it could probably be doable (the only way I see it working with the kickstart is to heavily mod the CVT cover and also grind the splines of the crank back another 1/8" or so which wouldn't be easy) but I don't think I'd go out and buy a Rattler vari for my Minarelli. To quote the Mythbusters, I'd call this "Plausible but..."  The vari went back into the Rattler where it belongs  |

I ordered a set of mirrors from ebay for this scoot last week and was real happy to see them arrive on Thursday. Unfortunately there was a bit of a problem...  They're both left hand mirrors! lol. I contacted the ebay seller and offered to send one or both back for an exchange but they were real cool and told me not to worry about it, they're sending out a right hand mirror right away. Sweet! |

Dang John you have a great memory! Yes I remeber reading that now. Makes sense that the Rattler would use a crank similar to the BWS100 (with a little longer stroke) considering the other similarities it shares. moofus02 hit the nail on the head that the spline is the same but the length just isn't there on the large spline Mina stuff... |

John you are a lifesaver- this is also the thread where Brent found a belt that might work for an Adly OR setup. I've been looking for that and could never locate it using search. Thank you! |

Aurotech355 had a variator that the Aerox and bws 100 guys were using. You had to remove all the electric start stuff like with an overrange. If I remember it was 115mm diameter. It will fit and clear but it is tight. I think the application was for a Zuma 125 4t |

With the Piaggio rear pulley I already have and the vari you just mentioned, I might be able to pull something off. BTW this Rattler dropped a full 5 mph when I installed a stock Mina vari into it... (just for testing- has it's original parts back in it now). |

Ok all, may want to reconsider ordering these mirrors from the Ebay link I posted lol. The seller was kind enough to try to correct his mistake the first time by sending out a replacement RH mirror at no charge, HOWEVER, I received the replacement mirror today and it's YET ANOTHER LEFT HAND MIRROR!! AArrggghhh. Some folks just can't seem to get it right!  |

Maybe they'll all come as Right hand and you'll have 2 sets. If I get your right hand mirrors we can make a swap.
