Your builds seriously make me want to save up 10 thou, visit down unda, and bring a gyro home with me. I wish we would have gotten those here. EDIT Found out there were gyros in the usa - 84-86. Heres one on cycle trader - 69 original miles www.cycletrader.com/listing/1984-Honda-OTHER-5000658201

There interesting those US market TG50 Gyros, think their based on the Nifty Fifty (Spree over there), they have a different engine to mine with the cylinder facing backwards!
I've just got a few more wires to hook up, a couple to extend for the new lights and it looks like I need to try and adapt another fuel sender to fit the Honda tank for the 100Ω gauge. Then I can start putting the plastics on!

Late night in the shed with my crimping tools! Took the stock mass of wiring and the dash loom Ran a couple extra wires for the tacho and full time battery + and ran it all through a small 9pin plug Success! Just as I said I need to try and adapt a 100Ω sender into my tank, unless there is any way of using reistors or something to adapt my 510Ω signal? Had a fair bit of extra wire on the engine looms Choppy, choppy Getting damn close now! Going to tidy up the other side of the engine (fuel system) tomorrow I think. Also need to make a mount for the speed sensor too.

Just a little update on some of what I've got done so far today. Hacked up a Suzuki fuel sender to fit Fitted all new fuel, oil and vac hoses Did add the clips after this pic was taken Moved the flasher relay from right up by the left switches to down by the engine, the stock location on the 2 older models. Set up the throttle cable, used the Kitaco outer as it's slim and new with a Honda inner Goes from closed to WOT in under 1/4 turn! Took a box of beer to my mate Gave it a coat of paint, which I used the BBQ to cure faster haha! Made some vibration isolators out of big vacuum tubing I think all that is left to do before the plastics go on now is: - Front brake hose
- Extend headlight and front indicator wiring down to the horn area
- Run speed sensor wire
- Make speed sensor mount
- Buy and fit bolts to hold the forks together
- ?

I think all that is left to do before the plastics go on now is: So as it turns out "?" = cut freshly painted, brand new plastics so that the forks can turn... Looks like the luggage big thing I got will cover the holes though! Been mocking it up with the old plastics, pics once I get somewhere with it

Didn't get anywhere near as much done as I'd planned for today! Dash mounted Shed mostly tidy! Lap of the yard since it was outside anyway lol Also ripped the Let's around a bit, almost low sided it a few times, 7000rpm clutch on wet grass is a real laugh to ride! Then I got sidetracked completely with a new project that came to mind while cleaning the shed, if it works I'll post pics of it and another Gyro update with actual progress tomorrow.

Finished the other project I mentioned, I'd gotten more than sick of rolling around on the floor to work on scooters so i knocked this up out of scrap that I had sitting around. Perfect height to work from a computer chair now! Now onto the plastics issue That's with the steering pretty much straight The luggage bin tsimi sent over should cover it all, but I'm still very nervous about cutting the new plastics!!

Well, if you mess up the new plastics you know where to find me.

Thanks man, hopefully it doesn't come to that but I will keep it in mind!! Was semi thinking about seeing if you would want to send a crank over, I'm fairly committed to doing a Yamaha build on this one but I have a few Gyros now so having a stroked 70 kit engine on hand wouldn't be a bad thing

Looking good! Sounds great.
I'm really surprised at how small that gauge is. Had I known it was that small then that's what I would have bought. Maybe the next build...

You tell your friend to cut out a few more of those mounting plates and he can start selling them.

Ya... I'd probably buy one. The reason I don't have that exact gauge is I don't know how to mount it clean.
