Making a Detroit style pizza tonight... here is my dough, 48 hours after creation and 1 hour into the 3 hour process of making the pie. More pics to follow That’s a lotta butter and oil in that pan! The secret weapon. Tomato filets roasted in olive oil and thyme. 7 mins into the bake. Add cheese. It’s a Detroit so pack the sides One of my kiddos don’t like cheese, so her quarter has no cheese. Sausage and filets added Spin it and bake , then sauce Done, but sauce goes on last As quick as I got get a pic while it was being devoured Good night! I’ll be here all week! ...man that’s a lot of work for a pizza.

My wife told me I have to take a 2 week baking hiatus. No pizza, no cobbler, no crisps and certainly no pie. You are making everyone fat, she says (which is true). What am I going to do?

I can make 2 gallons of hooch up to 18-19% and we have a hell of a party.

I didn't cook it, but I tried the Impossible Whopper today. I was curious to see if it really tasted like the beef Whopper. I had no complaint with the taste, but I do think the beef patty is a little better. After watching some behind-the-scenes videos on what they do to the cows produced for the mass market and the @$$hole corporations behind it, I have stopped eating at BK, Micky D's etc. Grossed me out. Quickly gave up on going veggie though, animals just taste too good not to eat. I stopped eating that kind of chain food years ago. There are so many better options taste-wise (especially here in LA). Corporate farming only makes the decision that much easier.
