That looks like a super copy I would guess it comes with bulb holders and reflectors, just the OE lenses cost around that and took hours to find ,and I had to make the innards myself.

So to help keep the peace during lockdown grandad was garaged and ignored till today, the commute scoot is off the road so grandad will have to earn his keep, woke him up with a shot of easy start, aired the tyres went for a quick spin, let him go cold and he kick starts easy enough and the fog of blue smoke has cleared, he is running sweet so fingers crossed I won,t need the car.

Quick update, grandad broke down on the way to work Wednesday morning so I had to park him in an ally and got my manager to come pick me up,thankfully grandad was still there when I returned with my truck with tail lift at 5pm and I got him back to our depot.I ferried him home Friday and set to work fixing him sat am.I thought it would be a blocked jet but it turned out to be the red/white wire connector I fitted many moons ago had seperated. I have now soldered and heat shrinked the wire like I should have done.all seems fine I am going to take him for another longer test run before I use him for the commute,my new sat nav has arrived so I can get some speed runs done . Only had to nip for the papers this a.m. but ran the sat nav 37mph top end I am impressed, 41mph is the next goal I will play with the CVT when the commute jog is back up and running.

Grandad disgraced him self while the commute scoot was off the road,so I pushed him to one side for a rest, but I am back on it now,it has a fuel leak tiny but it needs to be addressed it,s a slight leak from the bowl but it adds up over days of standing.does anyone have any repair ideas?I thought gasket goo but I am not sure.there are pictures of the silent pro and it,s fitment issues. I had to cut the flange off an old exhaust to space the pipe away from the mounting Electrical piping aged made a suitable spacer the silent pro in it,s gloy

The gasket will shrink over time. And then start to leak. What I have done in the past when I couldn't get a gasket. Get a piece of wet and dry. Not too corse, about 1000, or 1500. Place it on a flat surface, you can then take off between 1/2 to 1mm by using even pressure. By pushing down on the inverted bowl. Remove the gasket first. Refit the gasket until it just sits above the bowl.

Help,I am a bit stuck, grandad used to just "go" then I fitted the exhaust it would "go" and then revs kicked in and it really "went".at the moment it will start first kick and rev freely on the stand but off the stand it barely rolls to 10 mph then it kicks in and we are off as it used to run.I have stripped and cleaned the carb x umpteen every orifice is clear.it was running rich with the plug black and sooty,I have tried loads of settings on the mixture screw and idle speed without any joy,I am missing a basic???.
