Great news! My Ford fiesta ST is fixed. Good news, I got the impact from harbor freight. 🤙🏼 Bad news I have misplaced my ruck keys. But thanks to Tanuki I'll be able to get a new key made hopefully before 48hrs of ruckus. Is it too much to ask to have both of my vehicles available and reliably working at the same time? Lol

It's been 275 miles since I last broke down. I love how reliable the ruck is and since I ride mostly on low speed limit roads (45-50 max) it's been great. That being said. I'm topping out at 45mph @ 6500rpm. At WOT there is still sputtering. I have already messed with the AF screw. I will be upjetting tomorrow while the wife is at work from the 115 main to the 118. If I can keep it from sputtering I think I can get a higher top speed. There's a sale at harbor freight this weekend. I might swing by and GET an impact gun to be able to dive into the variator. That transmission is still stock and after about 1200 miles I think those rollers might need upgrading. lilpinny what weights are you running? 13's

Upjetting from main #115 to #118. There was less popping but kept topping out at 43mph by the GPS. I also noticed that I was topping out at about 6Krpm. I had one of those Chinese orange "racing" CDIs so I swapped that in and it took me to 46mph. I get to the top speed pretty quickly, so I don't have issues there but I still feel that there's more in there though. And I'm trying to tune the carb by feel which as a first timer might not be the right way to go about things. I'll wait for the wideband from pinny then I'll correctly tune the carb. Once that is taken care of I'll drive into the variator with some 13g wheights. Maybe some sliders. I bet that's what's slowing me down. I think I have about 1200miles on the stock ones. They might have some flat spots. Just hope my variator doesn't have any bad grooves on it. I'll just wait and see what's up.

I think so. Haven't gone in there yet but it's a very strong possibility.
I gotta mow the yard and gotta run some errands later so I'll find out next week when I'm off

6000k? Thats it? Yeah I definitely think I still have some issues somewhere. With the orange CDI tomorrow came up to 7000-7500 but top end didn't go higher than 46mph

How much have you done in the transmission? I think you got a stock varrlator and clutch. Def replace those weights with some 13 gram sliders.
My fat ass can do 60-65 easy. Only when I push it do I get up to 70-75.
I use the generic black CDI... your bike is kinda a hybrid still since you still have the ECU... no telling what’s going on in there.

Yeah. Everything in the transmission is still untouched. That's why I got the impact for. I just gotta get some weights. Sliders or rollers tho?I've been reading up and there are lots of conflicting answers about it. Once everything is said and done I might have to redo the harness. But I'll take it one step at a time. lilpinny you also have a 171cc BBK tho

If you can GET over 9-10000 rpm on the stand then your timing is prob off.
