I trimmed the lip off the intake with a razor and made a smoother. My intake had a offset piece,so I cut it off and trimmed the hole up. I used electric tape on the inside to cover the hole and sealed it up with silicone.I'll peel the tape off the inside when it drys. EDIT..DONT USE SILICONE.fuel spits back and melts it,almost sucked silicone into carb USE RTV instead. Also stock intake restricted the intake and slowed it down.Used radiator hose that came with Uni filter to get my speed back

Hello.
Happypancake I've heard you mention you running with a bell mouth at the end of your 5 inch intake runner. Do you still have this set up? And if so do you know the total length when measuring, intake runner and the bell mouth?

Also have you fitted any sort of filter, at the end of the bell mouth?

Got the flywheel lightened, seemed to help a little but think I need to tune carb better still. Is there a way to adjust choke? When I start it,it runs rough(idles up and down on the lower idle) for about 30 seconds and then it pops on to a higher idle like it used to when stock. Have been getting lots of compliments about it. Haven't been here for a couple weeks, been busy with the cabin in PA. and putting $ into my Harley.

It’s an electric choke. Once it gets warm, wax melts and it opens. The stumble is normal. Where in Pa? I’m in pittsburgh.

Tires full,Gates on,going to try 5.5 weights next. It was going faster until I tried the stock intake tube and added lights, after that it slowed a little and couldn't get it back. I'll mark variator again and see where its at.

"For a quick answer for some speed. Cut the black seal off the Polini with a razor blade". Hello I recently aquired a polini variator with same black seal, granted its for a 139qmb but it should yeild the same result. Does the black seal restrict the belt travel? or do you know for what purpose polini place it there? Also there is some different opinions on the internet, whether removing the seal gives more speed, but since you have tried it first hand, you could maybe tell me if the difference is noticeable? www.racing-planet.co.uk/variator-polini-speed-kymco-stroke-p-2064-1.html#.W2Bl79IzYY0

Did seal when i got variator. Going to look at variator travel and weights first again. I'm almost all the way out on airscrew so Im think going up a jets size. Should be going faster on flat. UPDATE:1:pm....Feel like a dumbass, had weights in wrong. Put 5.5 gr in and topped out at 36mph at 8,200rpm so I put 4.5gr in the right way and acceleration is back. 40mph at 9,000. It's quicker but not much faster. Pulled clutch side apart and cleaned it,greased needle bearings. Variator side has 1/8in. barely see my mark on the left. Clutch side has 1/4in.
