Did some work for someone in exchange for a bunch of Piaggio Derbi's and .....  Piaggio/Gilera typhoon.... This space reserved for future shennanigans. |

It appears all the plastics are there, as is the original engine and some aftermarket pipes and a Malossi CDI and coil, Malossi Clutch and probably some other surprises.
My initial plan is to put the Derbi 12" wheels on it, and possibly try and trade RC-One cases with someone and make another monster.
But I honestly don't know what I am going to do yet.
The forks are awful on it, they are leaking and the bushings are shot.

It is AC, North America only got them in AC.
The Derbis are meh, just Atlantis AC as well, but they are big body wise. We did get Atlantis LC here but they are pretty rare.

Frame looks just like a Zip frame. But without the single sided front suspension. I always wanted a typhoon. The body just looks so mean from the side. Nice bargain! Too bad your RC-one cases are the Minarelli version. If it's not to late try to trade the cases for the Piaggio version. Bolt right in monster. Edit: I forgot your a machinist. Just make a piaggio/minarelli mount for it. Bam! Color scheme is already there. |

I think it's bigger than a Zip.. Although I may try and get 10" zip wheels and try to lower it slightly to make it more "Zip" sized.
I think I want to do a NRG or Gilera Typhoon LC front... Just have no idea where to source one.. Need the front panel, the rad and the lights.
but for now I am just leaving it in the back of the garage and hoarding parts.

I have put 10” zip wheels on a drag typhoon I built a 8 years ago. The wheels are way to narrow for that fork. It just won’t work well.

Got bored. 3.0 x10 slick stretched on the wide typhoon wheels.  Probably going to be on 10"... I just can't get used to the 12"  It also makes it shorter and more zip like. Did I mention I really want a Zip? Still need to find a euro headlight.. |
