my tacky aero build: 84 honda aero nb50

so I figured id do a few build threads since theres been good interest in my old honda projects. so maybe info can be helpful to others.  


heres me little aero in her early days in my fleet.  lowered with cut springs up front and a spree rear shock witch is an inch lower 11" vs 9.5-10".  rides real nice with the ab07 angled plug.  had to clearance the frame with an af05e and their straight plug head.  the ab07 has a smaller combustion chamber than an af05 because the stock ab07 piston is dished.  fyi an express nc50 piston has all the same dimentions except its a domed piston.  good for piston swap and more compression. and the ab07 head gives the af05e more compression also.

hers a few current pics of her with a jdm af05, and jdm aaf09 tact rear covers, im working on fitting the front tact light cover to my speedo upper and lower covers. why? because 83-84 engine cover are scares or expensive and I like the blinkers up in the front cover instead of hanging out to get caught on everything.

today I worked on the stereo and cig lighter/ ashtray. I think I know where the amp can go but I think 6.5 speakers are gonna be to big to fit anywhere. I guess they'll go on the gyro and ill look for some 4-5.25" speakers for this

its a pain in the ass trying to light a cig with a lighter while riding and ashtray is because no one likes a litter bug!!!

so today I put a side stand and modified a jog 90 pipe for the af05 that's currently in here till my ab07 is rebuilt. its loud, still need to clean up the welds and reweld the rear bracket now that its done. and up jet. its lean so I didn't ride it tonight.   
 I wanna say thanks to 190mech for helping with the selection  of this pipe and dropping knowledge on me about 2t chambers!!! thanks man.

I'm pretty sure I had a version of that pipe for short case horizontal mineralli. Power didn't come on until real high in the RPM range, but it came on hard haha.

I had one with a homemade headpipe on my Gyro, like benji I also found it made power at really high rpm and hit hard!

howdy everyone! sorry for not having time to post updates.
the ab07 case is all back together with c3 bearings and new seals. working on a bbk now. I got a glove box on buyee so im now putting the ashtray and cig lighter on it. also got jdm signals and speedo for my gyro.
now for my newest delema. I picked up a cherry 84 aero nit running with no keys. just so happens the gyro key works perfectly! so now I got a fleet key. lol got the scooter running that night with some wiring carb and tank cleaning. gas tank was awful. hadn't been ran since 87' I can still smell the varnish that was in there.
also got a set of rear tact AB07 covers that also have a side compartment. im not sure which set to use now... the af09 rear has kinda grew on me and ive always loved the 83-84 areo rears. just not the tail light. the other one is cool cause never seen one in the US. so it has rare and unusual going for it.
