So after dodging this thing for as long as I could I finally decided to pick it up from a buddy of mine. It's a 1985 Honda Spree that has already been swapped with a Honda Elite AF16. This thing is dope to say the least. Theres a store front that's really well lit and spacious, and I've declared it as my late night stunt spot lol.

First things first, a new pipe and carb were in order. The carb ended up on back order so for now just the new pipe. The new pipe makes a little too big of a swoop and due to that is very close to the ground. So now I have to be super careful on right turns. Not incredibly happy about that, but it is what it is. I also had to curve out the bracket to clear the air ducts. No biggie, but seems like the company could have done this in the first place.

Then literally, later that day, I let my buddy ride it and he crashed it and scratched my brand new pipe 😑. I was too worried about the pipe to even realize the plastics were also broken, so now I'm taking everything apart to fix and repaint them.

Different curves will work for your header pipe as long, pun intended, as it stays the same length. Get a real welder to do it, not just someone who owns one.

This was how the pipe came out of the box. Honestly I think I'll just get a beefier shock to raise the ride height a bit and it should help with the ground clearance. We shall see.

And just like that shes all apart. The plan wasnt to build it right now,but that plan has since changed lol. Parts on the way: Stage 6 reeds and inake mani. 19mm and 21mm polini carb (see which works best). Already have the pipe. 78cc scooter tuning mini stroker kit. Full Zx overrange kit. Right now I'm just getting all the body pieces painted. Just doing a satin grey with black accents.

More and more parts. The ex overrange kit came in and that think is sexy af. Belt should be here later today. Was going to try to modify the stroker kit to make it work on the stock stroke, but my buddy ended up having a mini stroker crank. I ended up just giving it to him along with all the stock parts and he gave me a leo Vance pipe for a jog motor. So now I'm just waiting for the polini contessa kit to get here and then I'll start butting up the engine. Also new intake mani, reeds, and oil pump delete came in as well.

Also, this was the piston. I pulled this out of the working motor. AF16 motors are beasts!

Mmm scuffage, what ratio are you mixing? I just bought the bike. It still used the oil pump. Stock: carb, bore, and exhaust

Indeed... I guess that’s normal to see if it was being auto injected. Solid choice switching over.

Just waiting on the Contessa to get here, but here's the Zx trans on the motor. I did a good amount of grinding and also bought a SYM dd50 drive boss to get the right spacing for the variator side of things. Still painting too. Hopefully I'll have most of it buttoned up by this weekend.

You guys and your anti-autolube...
Seems like autolube systems in the US don´t work right while we europeans travel thousands of KM with good working autolube systems..
Plus all that american tuning... We simply can´t understand. Honda 50 2T scoots (older AF models until 2001) doin 50 MPH here in europe with stock parts.
Must be magic though.

Also, this was the piston. I pulled this out of the working motor. AF16 motors are beasts! this probably happened because the pipe, or an airleak. Did you upjet? These Honda motors typically dont have problems with autolube. Removing the pump does releive it of some parasitic loss tho.
