Just got the call from US Chrome yesterday that my block is bored and decked. They're shipping it back now! I hope to get it on Friday so I can start assembly!
I'm waiting on the back ordered PCV valve that goes on the new style chain tensioner. Hopefully that doesn't take too long to transit the Pacific!
Build photos and updates to follow!

Installed met gears and transmission case on the ruck swingarm I got from Happypancake! Which shock mount do I use? Do I cut the other one off? More pics from recent tinkering... New vs old piston...

dankhill- serious question. I forget what you call those indentations in the top of the piston; for each valve. but since the new piston has slightly smaller indents- does that mean more squish? and slightly more compression ? thanks

The “dents” are different because the piston is larger. There is actually less quish with that piston so U can still run normal octane. Cheers!

With all parts finally in hand, I did the engine build on Sunday. Everything went in without a hitch... however, the other metro GETting rebuilt with mine had a head bolt snap. Luckily Bob got out extracted in less than 5 minutes with a straight blade screwdriver and some swearing. No harm no foul I guess. I do have one question though: can you install the cam backwards? Or is it fool proof? I think I got everything lined up and timed correctly, but am I or can I be 180° off?

Might want to turn over several times by hand to make sure timing is spot on. Cam can’t go in backward. Nice work.

If that is the cast intake manifold, you may wish to support the carb as I have seen several of those intakes crack due to stress and vibration . Cheers

How did you support yours? Any ideas? Or do I just Pollack engineer it?
Thanks for all the help/tips
