Yup that's exactly what i was thinking using diodes to get back the cluster indicator and keep each side separate from each other.

Went to jump on and ride to work today. Instantly fuel line came off again...... I'm, speechless on this. New line that's longer to route away from the seat bucket easily, real screw clamp on the line....

Perhaps it's a too big inside diameter?

maybe, but I got a size that I have to really push on there before tightening the clamp. May get creative and put some ridges on the fuel nipple. It's dumb that it's a tapered design tapering the wrong direction anyway. Crazy that 10+ years, and 4,200 miles and when the BBK goes on this starts...

Such seems to be the way of some scooters. Especially mine!

Took a file and kind of notched the fuel inlet tube, and scuffed the rest horizontally with 36 grit sandpaper. Rode about 40 miles yesterday and hasn't come off again yet....
This vibe is starting to concern me. I can literally hear and feel the vibe come on. At first and still it sounds like knock, but squish is .92, 91 octane fuel, jetted right, spark plug and piston show no signs of detonation, and doesn't get hot. Especially on a high speed run at 55+ (10,000 rpm range)it vibes like crazy. Power is still pulling nicely at 10K, but I don't push it. I really don't want to have to put a crank in this thing, but I am wondering what kind of damage is being done to the bearings and such.
On a side note I think I need to up the pilot jet a bit. I've had the mixture screw all over the place, and can't get a consistent idle/takeoff.

Could this be belt slip ? What contra spring do you have in ? Stock springs have a hard time keeping up with the extra power . Your squish should be fine below .7 then you might get detonation

Your squish should be fine below .7 then you might get detonation Stock contra. Original belt. Belt isn’t slipping. No dust, no erratic rpm, or power loss. BUT it might be slapping like it did about 2,000 rpm before the clutch stiffer springs. Since it doesn’t apply the clutch till much higher now that slap doesn’t shake the whole scooter anymore.

how much play in the crankshaft. just wiggle the shaft on variator It should be very tight.
upgraded contra is needed now or in the future . when you upgrade the contra While you have the back end apart grease up the torque driver .

Looked at your thread . Has the vibration started after the new tires . I have the Boppers also on my zuma They are Great Tires No it started before the boppers. BBK made it MUCH worse. It is 100% engine load/rpm related. The tires do need balanced though they have a slow frequency wobble. The troubling vibe is very high frequency matching engine rpm. Anyone have recommendations for belt, and torque spring?

Stock yamaha belt works really well until you go overrange . I also have run the polini belt for the zuma it worked well also.
Malossi yellow would be as high a tension you would need . I run a Malossi white but I do have the malossi torsion control spring seat which makes it a notch tighter . Another choice is Athena Yellow
Up to a Medium strength Contra is where I would shoot for with your extra power over stock.
I replaced a stock zuma spring 10 years old 9000 miles with a new stock spring there was quite a bit of difference in how much it degraded .

So like scootertuning they only list belts as sport minarelli long. I assume that means stock. All the different brands don't list part numbers or anything, and the stock yamaha belt is hella expensive. Polini for example is 750mm length 16.8mm wide specs. I wondered the same thing if the stock contra has just lost some of it's tension. So all the springs would white "soft" be considered stock?
