You can try it it is just so hard to not want to just hit the throttle wide open .
The Gears will help combined with the wall of wind to hold your rpms down below 11k Rpms .
Conventional thinking Yamaha Stock Crank likes forever below 10k rpms ,Above 11k you are pushing it too hard .

If the zuma is anything like the aerox. The cranks are not as strong as the Piaggio, or Chinese ones even. I bent a 2,500 mile Aerox crank with a stage 6 street, and pro rep exhaust. The street is quite similar to the corsa.

Ah ok what rpms would be expected with the Corsa and Yasuni R?

I would of thought it would rev up about as high as 11,000.

Ingram One other thing you can do to keep rpms down besides gears. The yasuni r has a wide powerband you can run a wide range of weights that will give highest top speed . Just run the heaviest ones that give you rpms that rise and never fall till your wide open . example So you hit the throttle rpms jump up to 9300 rpms and then rise from there peaking out below 11k rpms.

Makes sense thanks Zino I’m gonna go ahead and ask for a crank and crank tools as well but man those really add up in cost so we will see. I was originally thinking my next cylinder would be the sport pro MK2 but it’s out of stock everywhere so the Corsa was my next pick. I didn’t realize the street race was comparable to the Corsa otherwise I might have went for that instead since it’s cheaper and looks to be in stock at places now.

Another option would be to get a sport and port it. It's not hard to do, and cheaper. Read the second post down on this thread for what Brent, and our drag racer thought about it. 🤔 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/2512

You can always resell the crank tools . It is safer to replace the crank With the extra power and rpms . You have everything else for the miid race level anyways . gears ,carb ,pipe ,clutch kenho upgraded his crank last winter for his mid race build he was going to use the corsa but ended up using a athena sport with a polini head he initially was using the yasuni r and upgraded to yasuni c16 . here is his thread 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/25916/kens-08-zuma

Thanks guys yes definitely seems the best is to just replace the crank and then I don't have to worry about it later.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!
Santa brought me the Corsa BBK and a vforce reed block. Also got Tusk crank tools but no crank so I need to order me a crank now.
I am struggling deciding on a crank. I was going to get the Stage 6 HPC 12mm with the 12-10mm reducer bearing to run the Corsa but I emailed Scootertuning about it and they didn’t recommend it as they have seen many failures on the 12-10mm reducer bearing so they recommended just going with a 10mm crank instead. Anyone else have experience with the 12-10mm reducer bearings?
As for 10mm cranks I am trying to decide between the Stage 6 HPC, Doppler Endurance, or Malossi RHQ. The Stage 6 and Doppler are a little cheaper than the Malossi but if I’m going 10mm I want to make sure I get great quality as I don’t want to split my case again anytime soon in the future. Is the Malossi worth the extra cost (~$30) over the Doppler or Stage 6?

Cant you get a 12 pin piston for the Corsa? That way a 12 pin crank could be used...

Well I saw this thread which indicates a Dio 12mm piston might work but Kenho21 had all kinds of issues with his and ended up going a different route so I am reluctant trying to explore that myself. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/26299/dio-mina-corsa-piston

I used a stage 6 HPC 10mm crank on the aerox. Never had a problem running it with the racing cylinder. It's ment to be good for 16,000rpm. Should be plenty good enough for a corsa.

they do make corsa bores in both 10 &12 mm size for minarelli. the honda version has a different shape entirely , instead of windowed piston it just has a cut out on the bottom. if your variator and stator arms are the larger 16mm with 15 splines instead of 13mm with 17 splines then you should go ahead and oreder the 12mm crank as they will fit onto it, if your arms are the smaller kind used on some 10pin cranks then you would havr to order new fornt pulley plus magneto.

Thanks guys Scootertuning has been super helpful and they are giving me a great deal on the Malossi 10mm crank so I’m just gonna go with that one.
