That's not bad really, with that cylinder and pipe. A sorted CVT should see 55mph.👍

I ordered springs for my clutch from Scooter Tuning. I ordered Motoforce springs. I have a Motoforce clutch. Well that didn’t work out. These things are tiny. Says Minarelli 107mm Piaggio and Peugeot all models. Well I have the 112mm clutch. Their description online is inadequate. Oh well.

So instead I drilled some holes in the clutch wings to lighten them up. Yeah I’m sacrificing grip to achieve a higher RPM launch which may weaken the launch. I’m ok with a weaker takeoff if it means rpms will rise more at launch. Of course when I say “launch” I mean leaving a stop sign not the Christmas tree at the drag strip. There is two 3/8” holes in each shoe. One is under the spring and the other is shown. I took it for a short sprint and I can say it feels better but it’s inconclusive.

Now you need to buy a scooter to fit those clutch springs to.😞

That's what I do when I order the wrong parts.

That's what I do when I order the wrong parts. 3/8” holes in main jets? That’s too much.

Sorry I meant I just buy a scooter that the wrong parts fit. That's an easy way to lighten your clutch.

uo a slight grade. Speedometer is calibrated well. Shows 53 on the dashboard and in the BlackBox app.

The drilling of the clutch is a definite improvement. I rode about 15 miles tonight. Take-off from stop is more of a 7-8k affair then once 30 mph is achieved and the rear pulley gets involved forward progress slows as rpms drop. This stays reduced until 40mph when the fun returns and rpms rise with speed to match. It’s still very gratifying to ride around. Come on summer.

4K@25fps looks rough. Might attempt an upload later on.

Just got back from a 20+ mile ride. When did they make 48° feel so damn cold? It’s dark and there is snow melt everywhere. Makes me skittish. Still getting used to being on two wheels. I’ve got about 7 months behind the ‘bars. This was a long cruise around trip. Some nice open roads where I could just ride. It’ll cruise at 50 nicely. Motor seems happy there and me too. Too bad the speed limit is 40. I’d rather be going 10 over and following a car than 5 under being pushed by one.
