Nice looking tires. I haven't seen those Kendas before. Nice to see more dual compound stuff suitable for small scoots. I was trying to find these in 13” for the aerox wheels you had. I never found them.

I had those on T2 shortly after I got it. Kept getting flats. Hit a clam shell from someone's driveway and tore a large gash in the tire. Never used another one of those. Prob just a fluke, as the Kenda dual sports were good tires and Kendas were fine on the TaoTao.

New tires installed. Used rims from a parts bike that has 144 miles on it. Swapped some brake parts also. No more squeak. It’s lovely. What do y’all think of the blue?

Oh yeah, and it got warm out where I live. Engine is bogging more, having trouble hitting high rpm. Guess it’s time to summer jet? Current is a 78. I have 80’s by ones but no 70’s. Guess I’ll visit scuter tuning

Those wheels look in lovely condition. What tires are fitted to them. I am thinking about having my Aerox wheels powder coat blue over the winter. At the moment they are matt black. 😬

With the solid red body and the blue wheels, I was gonna say that the scoot needs some white accents... ...but then I had a much better idea. You need this suit when you ride. You'll be the talk of the town and my new hero. Bonus points awarded for wheelies and jumping buses and the like.

There are a group of guys in the U.K. Every year they do a tour of Britain, on bikes dressed as evil kaneville. They do it to raise money for charity. It's quite a sight, 10-12 guys dressed like that.

90GTVert I was gonna buy this before the scooter. I was VERY tempted. It spoke to my inner 70’s child.

Ok, I swapped rims and adjusted rear brakes when I did it. Last night I went for a ride and it felt draggy. I stopped in a lighter spot and backed off the adjuster but 1-1/2 turns. Felt better riding. I still don’t feel great about the spongy feeling of the rear drum cable brakes. Converting to disk requires new rims made of steel apparently. Is there a hydraulic option for brake activation in the rear drum or am I overthinking it? New cable time?

That spongy feeling is the cable stretching. A better quality cable might help. They are so long, a bit of flex is expected. No reason that a properly set up drum brake won't lock the rear though. You don't really need more braking than that. You could try a cable oiler. They are a couple of bucks, and might help.
