Polini variator, 5.5 gram rollers or sliders, Yoshimura or Two Brothers exhaust. But if you’re going to GET a new exhaust, you should do an airbox delete with pod filter as well; no need for a bigger out without a bigger in. There are kits for it. Brandon and his crew at Scooter Swap Shop know what they’re doing - you can buy their carb with confidence. But you can also just upjet. MNNTBX, Steady Garage, and Mojo are quality shops as well. These are some of the people who helped built the tuning scene. There are others, and still more that left. There is a bit of a learning curve to making a Ruck go faster. But there’s a solid 15 years of work that’s been done for you. There’s a few folks from here from the old Total Ruckus site that shut down a few years ago. They know a thing or two about tuning. This document is what tuners consider THE primer on tuning scooters. It explains the relationships between the different systems. www.facebook.com/groups/1460440217591402/permalink/1842655042703249/I think we have it here as well. JB gave you good advice here. Polini/5.5 sliders/NCY CDI. The pre-packaged "kits" are all overpriced. The 85MJ supplied w/ the kit is too big. 80MJ max. You will not see much increase in performance w/ the NCY variator. My opinions only. Opinion? Ha! Just so you know, Happypancake’s lies about GET engines are more trustworthy than a lot of people’s facts. That guy knows some stuff! Seriously though, the Ruck is a super fun platform to play with. The fact that you can GET at almost all the bits without removing body panels makes adjustment/trial and error tuning so much easier (the same is NOT true for the Big Ruckus).

Welcome to the forum. Love the look of the Ruckus. But we only got them across the pond for a couple of years. Mildly ironic no? not many hondas in the EU, and in the US not many nice Yamaha's

Two stroke engine, 13" wheels, and disc brakes. That's what everyone brought. 😊 Now a Rukus that's not an import is £2k plus.

That sounds about right! Got my '09 Ruckus used for 1800 USD some 4 years ago now. Back then new Ruckuses were about 2500 USD new. Now they are $2700+ USD new. 1.4 USD to Sterling, pretty much spot-on.

The last two weeks at work have been rough. I come home exhausted and ready for bed. ( I got a package today, but I will get back to that.) So, as I said before, carb jetted, Yoshi pipe and air box delete. The Ruckus sometimes will cut off at idle at a stop light after well warmed up. I need to adjust the carb, it seems. Also. The rear left mount of the fender has nowhere to connect. What do I do about that? SO I have a several things for the CVT, as I said before. I may pay a guy to install or order the CVT hold tool and do it, myself.
ANyway, today I got in the drag bars and a stem that has a bracket to hold the stock gauge set up. I may do this tonight.

I got to work on the Ruckus, today. I installed the drag bars, but they sent me the wrong stem and the moon spacer does not fit. (I am waiting for a replacement.) I got the one that has the aluminum plate to keep the factory speedometer. The cables that go to the controls seem to not like the speedometer in its new place.
Then the electrical.. I put on the LED tail light and LED front blinkers and LED light flasher relay. Now, trying to use either turn signal results in hazard lights.

You need a flasher relay to make the led setup work properly. ELFR-1 QD is what I use to fix that issue.

As for tires, Michelin Boppers are a good choice for stock wheels. For a comfy ride use the same size as the oem tires.
