Well the thing now goes forward and stops and don't lock when pushed backwards now had chance put new disc pads in. Think the old a little bit worn. Still no sign of relay yet so order from elsewhere me thinks.

Well changed belt and rollers been sitting a week no spark. Today put back on a spare factory immobilizer with a coded key both red and blue. Great spark. Took road test and sputtered all to town and back Found engine to chassis lead very slightly loose after noticing sluggish turn over on fully charged battery. Tightened and road test still same. Changed coil better spark. Decided to finally make hole in chassis so I can access the spark plug easier and try new one. Job done road test in a bit.

Road test showed it's still sputtering so off with that bypass immobilizer and try one off eBay which is used but working. Even if problem elsewhere always good to have a spare bypass immobilizer.

New immobilizer arrived no joy didn't work but had some from them before which have been a bit hit and miss. Got one arriving from admin of the Vespa ET4 forum /group on Facebook with locks and the red and two blue keys tomorrow hopefully. So today removed my the ignition key barrel ready to install the new lock pulled the clip gently so would not come all the way out. After lock removal I had to wiggle the clip slightly and it popped out. As Robot of Scooter West says on his video of doing the barrel if clip comes out. "Good luck with that" 😐 That was last night today I eventually got it in.

Milly you are in here talking to yourself. Poor guy. Imma gonna bookmark this folder so you’re not so lonely here. I’ve been chasing electrical gremlins myself the last two weeks. Finally found a bad in-line 12v fuse to blame.

Today another proper immobilizer arrived and still the same old same old. Very frustrated with it all but conversed with the forum owner/admin on Facebook of vespa et4 and et2 group who sent me the immobilizer and has given me a few useful pointers. So tomrrow I shall mainly be removing the air box and checking behind there and a few other places after job hunting.
