Problem solved just need to rewire my brain.
I started at the complicated end first for issues instead of from the basics. But then it did have no spark.
Inlet manifold rubber knackered.
New one on order when back from funeral next week.

Well manifold replaced, carb cleaning tomorrow but in the meantime I have been thinking (I know dangerous for me )and as I not rushing to get it running and most of plastics removed I have decided to stick a sidecar on it. This evening I picked up some sidecar chassis mountings that can be reworked to fit with a bit of cutting and welding (not by me) from eBay for £25 just got to collect when get chance next week or so.
Bit of planning and more research to do and a larger displacement cylinder needed but no rush.

Well another surprise when I checked out advert proper it was a Watsonian one designed for a bambini sidecar which was vespa or lambretta fitment.
I just ordered it because thought few bits be more useable than buying new steel and fabricating similar new bits.
Bonus I say ☺️

Thoroughly cleaned out carb finally connected. Road test, spluttery fart spluttery. Tickover still perfect. Put away for another day can't be much left to check now ☺️

Started to strip out the old loom today, rest tomorrow after work. Update. Hooray no work tomorrow, off to the beach morning at Cia Bach and hopefully finish scooter in afternoon. ☺️  |
