what on earth could I be up to with an old fence post, and more importantly what has it got to do with scooters ? As ive got lots of work to do on my scoot, and i have no centre stand, I decided to make a stand for when im working on the bike. I mentioned them earlier, but forgot to post the picture, standard look orange indicators fitted, and also my brand new original piaggio front forks which i fitted over a year ago. The modded std air box fitted on the scoot 21mm PHBG carb in place of the 24mm OKO carb. The OKO didnt sit at the right angle to line up with the airbox. I could maybe make it work with one of those swivel manifolds but im gonna run with this for now, A 21mm is sufficient for my set up, and fits nicely with a stock(ish) look. I do like a bit of stealth tuning A bit of comparison fun, An OKO 24mm next to a PHBG 21mm, hard to believe theres only 3mm difference through the middle.. As I have mentioned before, i am prepping a spare set of wheels for painting and hopefully fitting myself a fresh set of tyres. I say hopefully because ive never fitted my own tyres before, so heres hoping. I have no confidence in being able to fit the tyres without scratching the rims, especially with it being my first time. So ive had a cunning plan... ive painted the insides and im leaving the outsides unpainted, I will then try to fit the tyres mask up the tyres and spray the wheels afterwards... wish me luck lol. Also... My yasuni C16 has come back from the chrome platers Look sweet now I see that think maybe I should get my mhr 94cc pipe done new in box would look sweet,

Time to enter uncharted waters and try and fit this tyre to this wheel You little beauty... I can now add tyre fitting to my repertoire of skills so without further a do i got the tyre masked up... and etch primed Thats about it for today, I shall let the primer dry over night then check for any imperfections that might need a light sand tomorrow. Theres a 2 week delay on my front tyre arriving from the supplier, so i wont bother documenting that, its just the same process as the rear really... no point repeating everything.... plenty more stuff to be getting on with in the mean time. I did that and painted my own rims but I used thick playing cards, problem was some paint got through and a ended up with slow leak on bead no matter what, need to sand rim down, will get around to it one day,

That is the consensus online but the Malossi fitting guide states it is to be fitted in side the clutch Malossi install guides aren't always the easiest to follow, if I did have the knowledge I do I would have found it hard,

How many miles do you think you have on the race cylinder? I think I put about 1400,1500 miles on my one before I sold the bike. Was still going strong. I actually removed it, and sold it. crikey im not too sure to be honest... I built the engine 10 years ago, and I didnt make a note of mileage, or can remember. ive fired it up a few times and it still sounds in rude health, and ive had a quick rip up and down the garden on it im not even going to bother taking the cylinder apart for inspection, just run as is... if it fails.. I will just build another engine up. ive got enough bits and bobs lying around to build another stout engine. Ive actually got a spare unused mk1 racing cylinder and head in my stash box that Andy at Ped parts gave me some years ago, it has no piston kit though... but the piston kits and rings are still available.... or i might give a Mk2 Racing a try... or something totally different. im a bit of a spur of the moment guy... most of the time even I dont know what im gonna do next I have used the stage6 race mk2 it was good, but I didn't have race crank and it didn't last long, kit in perfect condition, so I got a mvt race crank and went evo3 its still new not ridden and stag6 was just run in think 200km so I have a spear evo3 70cc c30 24mm mukini and a few other nice bits, trying to find a cheap zip and have some fun

Yes I thought about getting a speedy 3, or 4, before the two strokes ended. Not a lot of options for them. There are race parts around, just have to look, I find parts that fit my scooters that aren't listed to fit but listed to fit same motor that uses same part, so u can find parts that fit that are never listed to, I may be lucky I look up parts image I find everything I ever need but, ill agree sometime take a while

My stainless steel bolt set arrived today, its actually for a 125/180 Runner but 95% of the bolts are the same as a 50cc Runner... And the resprayed rear green wheel with new tyre is now fitted to the scooter, along with my new Gas rear shock. I will have to take the wheel off again as ive decided to paint my calipers red... The shabby looking transmission case will also be getting resprayed in due course. You will find as you said 95% will fit only the bigger stuff wont, looking good

I fitted a new throttle cable to the Runner on christmas day, after all the unwrapping of presents and the roast turkey dinner had taken place. well it beats watching the crap they roll out on the t.v Also I changed the main jet and pilot jet in my carb as a preliminary exercise, it will need dialling in properly of course through trial and error once i start riding it. Also i noticed a few weeks ago that my input shaft seal was weeping slightly, and the bearing is a little noisy, so i decided to remove the bearing and seal from a spare gearbox cover in preparation for when my new items arrive in the post. Removing the circlip that holds the bearing in... And the input bearing removed from the gerabox cover...

Gear box bearings are so much easier with the proper tool. 👍

Today i found a bit of spare time to fit my input shaft bearing to my spare gearbox cover. you lads all know the drill, heating the case up.... hit the outer bearing race with the freeze spray... The new bearing dropped into place in the cover... Refitted the circlip... and Roberts your mothers brother. Also cleaned up.. re painted... and fitted my Yasuni City-16 pipe to the Runner. Just incase your confused.. my City-16 pipe has an e-mark and is road legal, My Carrera-16 has not for road use stamped on it and im guessing wont pass an MOT test which im pretty close to being ready for. I can swap them back after the MOT
