2015 Aixam City aka Project AixSound - Scootrific

Today, I fixed a foldable chair, removed the factory sound dentening from roof and replaced it with STP Black Silver one. Also, I added some dentening stuff to the Black Silver inside the doors. Now there is left to do car floor and luggage apartment floor and both sides. But that I leave to next month, because I´m now broke

The Aixam Hertz Sound System will be like this, what I´m planing to do with the car:

Today came in the Car Parking Sensor kit with 4 sensors, for the Aixam. I´m gonna install it to the rear of the car. New moped-Cars have this accessory, why should my 2015 Aixam City not have one? Im planing to kit out the Aixam, with almost the same spec as the Casalini M20 550 Trofeo.

Yesterday came in the centre console, that I brought from Ebay. It looks beautiful now.



I also did part of the luggage apartment floor wall, behind the seats and also rear wheel arches, with STP Black Silver. On the rear wheel arches, I have to do multiple layers (2 or 3). 2 layers of STP Black Silver and 1 layer STP LAVA. After that I will install the carpet. But before I do the luggage apartment floor, I have to make the luggage box inside the floor.

Yesterday, I did some work on the centre console and also added 1 layer of STP Black Silver to rear wheel arches. Now is left to do the front side of the car fool to the firewall. Then its gonna be STP LAVA time for the floor and wheel arches. And after that comes carpet install. I might do entire car with new carpet.

Today, I installed the Parking sensor kit to the rear side of the Aixam.

Today, I recived a package from AliExpress. The universal central locking system was in it. Now I think, should I install it and MacGyver it on my car .... or sell it, and then buy the original central locking system for the Aixam, with motors.

Yesterday at 8PM, I started to install the central locking system, that I brought from AliExpress, to my Aixam. Had to cut the 5 cabel ends off the driver side wires, to fit them through the small rubber hose, where the electric window and speaker wires went through. After that I soldered all the wires back together. I finished my work at 2:35am night time. But I did not get the central locking system to lock the doors I can open them, but the lock does work tough, so I need to take the door panels off again and adjust some things again, when I have the time, also I need to connect one wire to horn and 2 wires to turn signals. Second option is to buy the right central locking system, for the Aixam with lock motors.

This build has a codename now ... "Project AixSound". Im planing to build, a nice custom sound system. All parts are from Hertz Mille Pro line (component speakers, coaxial speakers, bass woofer and amplifier).

Rough cost - 2794€:
The sound denting - about 500 to 700€
The sound system parts - about 1307,45€
The wiring stuff- about 286,15€
The plywood for speaker boxes, amplifier and woofer case - about 500€

Yesterday, I did get my central locking system to lock and unlock the doors. I had to adjust the driver side rod, what is connected to the locking mechanism. It was too tight. I need to check the passenger side too. I did try to hook the 2 pink wires, what had to be connected to turn signal light. I failed. I wanted to connect them to hazzard lights, but I broke the button, while I was removing it from the dash. I had to unplug the hazzard light button completely, because something broke inside it and I could not turn off the hazzard lights at all

I took the hazzard lights button off, to try to fix it. When I had it in my hands, I did discover this .... It is a Renault part on a Aixam City moped-car Yesterday, I did order new part, from local car parts dealer. I hope I got the right part

Its been a while, I last posted anything about this moped-car. So I made a trunk support plate, from 10mm plywood and covered it with cloth




Second thing, that has happened ... I scored Aixam alloy wheels (135€) set. Now I have 2 sets of wheels - one set for winter and second one for summer.

But there is a little problem too, with my car. Like always I do not know, how old the radiator of my car is. I thing it is the original. It is leaking coolant. I need to get new radiator (it does cost 100€ + misc. parts) and swap it fast, including thermostat, what does cost about 70€.

Few things are broke again ... this time the variator slider guide. I was lucky to get 3 of those for free. I also brought a thermostat seal, what I did not swap, while swapping the radiator.
