Just thinking. -Some elevated shelves with space underneath for parking situated at the rear and/or overhead storage for pieces-parts and tools might help the garage space situation so you can avoid stacking sh*t on the floor. Leaving more space at the front for working, with some ceiling mounted LED lighting If you have power in the garage. I have used the cheapest available 2x4 or 2x3 supports and scrap 1x or plywood/OSB for shelves. The Oriented Strand Board (OSB) crap sags pretty bad with time but can be turned over occasionally and re fastened down. My basement has similar form-tie metal tabs sticking out which helps stabilize shelves.

You are correct FrankenMech, I have some left over OSB from when we had the shed floor done plus 4x4 and 2x3 lumber.I will get on the case when time allows and sort some shelves. Unfortunately no power but can rig up a LED light my friend with a cigarette lighter attachment on the end made and power it by a 12v motorcycle sla battery I have spare hanging about which holds a charge. Good ideas becomes you young man.

I am not young, but I have been around long enough to see some interesting solar powered lights and charging systems. Alas there may not be enough sunshine in places like Wales where it seems like it rains every other day.
I use a small solar panel in my van to keep the battery charged since I drive infrequently. I have another solar powered light to stick up in my own shed, maybe even keep a spare SLA from an UPS unit charged. I have even thought about laying about 20' of conduit underground to run power from the house if needed. -So many options...
One must keep the mind busy even if the body is dead.

New EBC shoes on the back plate that arrived today ready to install in the future on the Hyosung. Then lunacy appeared and I put the new front caliper on Owens Suzuki. Easy job if it had been assembled properly in the factory and now to let fluid get to the caliper by gravity overnight. I have pumped up the lever few times to get rid of air but rain has now appeared.
