Some people would never give you respect no matter how high gas prices go. People like my sister laugh at people that buy little gas friendly cars let alone scooters

Yep keeping the circle of expence going. Raise the min wage so others can charge more so they can raise the wage. Where saving money means buying somthing on sale you didnt need to begin with. Where our own sense of entitlement impeades progress. I love my country but i admlt we definitly have our problems.

its our own fault. we PAY $4 a gallon and say nothing. will we pay $5 or $6? you bet your butt we will, because we allow this to happen.

Most of Europe, England, and Australia pay an average of $8/gallon. $10 in some places. We don't realize how well we still have it here, in terms of gas prices. We're in a bubble.

here in hawaii cause of shipping cost we $5.10 for 92 octane 4.80 for 87

She is 41 old enough to know better! We are paying £1.40 a LTR for regular gas now That is about £6.30 a Gallon  |

Oh geez yeah, we have had CHEAP gas so long most seem to feel it's a RIGHT! If a domestic oil co finds oil in the ground, where do you think they would rather sell it? for $3 a gallon HERE where people complain it's too high, or $8 to CHINA where they are happy to get it that cheap?
I ride around and I see a LOT of 3/4 ton pickup trucks and suv's around town, I see people driving those 2 ton land tanks 3 blocks to the supermarket to get ONE bag of groceries. I see people flooring the things like a bat out of hell, and I see them standing at the gas station filling that tank up with $4 a gallon gas and think to myself- I'm glad it's not ME filling that damn tank up with $4 gas! The LAST thing I would want to drop a $50 bill on is GASOLINE to fill a 2 ton tank twice as frequently as I had to just because I thought it was a "cool" feeling to accelerate like abat out of hell at every start.

In sharp contrast to the cool gas guzzleing suv and lead footed cage drivers is the uncool gas sipping money saving scooter. Ohhhh how terriable that 4 dollars of fuel can earn me two weeks of wage. So terriable that with the fuel savings i can go on vacations or pay for major appliances in full.
Shame on me that my little scoot even with all the upgrades has paid for ir itself and puts money in my bank account. Shame on me ill be uncool on my scooter.

The only positive thing I see happening is (some) kids are starting to embrace the concept of fuel efficient transportation more. Probably because most cant afford to pay $4.00 a gallon even in the tiniest car....much less a car at all. Maybe the new generations coming up wont look so down on motorbikes because many more will have them. I remember a few mopeds around when I was coming up but not many.
As an American a nice car/truck was/is a sign of success. A status symbol. Wouldnt it be nice if fuel efficiency was viewed that way now? Maybe it will be someday...when we are all dead and gone.

Thanks Hank. I went and voted today because many men have given their lives to give me that right so its the least I can do to honor them.
I am not feeling so great about America these days though.
