I think I know why I had that number in my head at least. Crank bearings are 6204.

All of the bearings are in and it rolls as smoothly as any of my scoots now. None of them really feel smooth, but no more clutch jumping at a spot every rotation.

Since Project 49 is down I decided I'd finally give T1 another ride or two. Started on the first kick and ran well. I took it to a larger town that I never go to with it because of the loud pipe. If you want attention, there's nothing like this Peace Pipe. It seemed like everyone was staring at me. I had a guy on a Harley tell me "it sounds wicked".

I wanted to mention that the mirror didn't just loosen. I had tried to tighten it, but it wouldn't get tight. When I got home and looked at it, the arm and mirror had broken off. The amount of vibration I get out of T1 is crazy. I can't mount a cam to it and get decent results because of it. I broke my toe a while back and it's mostly healed. I've rode P49 and the Venus without issue, but I have to place my foot so my toes hang off the floorboad of T1 or the vibration is rough enough that it hurts. Nothing else really bothers it. I thought this would disappear after all the new bearings in the gearbox. It rolls a lot more smoothly now. It still seems like I have too much play in the primary drive shaft, but the bearing fit the shaft well. Don't recall noticing anything wrong with the case where the bearing goes there. It's probably the engine though, since it shakes at idle even.

Most of the big two strokes that vibrate like that make your hands go numb, do you not find that? Still looks rapid, must feel real quick after project 49!

Yeah, my throttle hand gets numb.
Felt quite nice after Project 49.... although 55MPG feels better than 35MPG... and I've really began to enjoy the scoots that don't make people stare. Still, fun to take it out now and then.

A friend asked me to come over this morning and P49 needs to be tuned ATM, so I decided to take T1. I fired it up and it was smoking really heavy. If I don't turn off the fuel supply, it will overflow just a little over time sitting on the sidestand. I didn't think much of it since it had been sitting that way. It ran pretty rough for about 1/4-1/2 mile, then cleared up. I was cruising against a pretty strong headwind still doing 55MPH or so. Not sure, the speedo is not calibrated right yet after a battery replacement, but I was keeping up with traffic with throttle left, so it seemed to be doing fine.
There's one spot on the way with a drawbridge maybe 200ft long with no shoulders. Of course right as I'm in with traffic and getting ready to hit the bridge power starts to fall off and it dies. I couldn't get stopped before the bridge so I just let it coast across, and since it's a hill traffic was just about pushing me off the bridge. I got on the shoulder afterward and went to see if it would kickstart. I felt hardly any resistance and it didn't wanna do anything. Ah, great, something's screwed up in the engine.
Just after the bridge on the other side of the road is a big shaded area by the bridge tender's booth, so I pushed the scoot over and made a call for a truck to pick me up. As I'm waiting, I nodded to the bridge tender, who continued to stare at me with no acknowledgement. The truck shows up, and I grab my helmet and jacket. The bridge tender comes out and yells at me that I'm not leaving "that thing" there. Not tells me, yells at me with an angry expression on his face. I said, "no problem, I'm taking it with me." He yells again, "You need to get it out of here." I'm generally quiet and laid back, but this is stupid. He never said a word to me, just stared at me, now I have a truck here 10 minutes after breaking down, and he comes out yelling? I raised my voice and said, "I just said I'm taking the :censored: thing home, shithead!" He turned around and walked back to his booth and stared as I loaded it up. I don't like to be that way. I just don't understand why he wouldn't come out and tell me I can't leave it in a normal fashion. I coulda have just explained that I was going to load it up and it'd be outta there in a hurry and apologize for any inconvenience (I didn't cause in the big parking area), but instead he has to act like a badass. Pitiful. This is a state employee that sits in an air conditioned booth all day and hits a button once or twice. What is so frustrating that makes you yell at me? AC blowing too warm today, the beautiful view is not quite as nice as you'd like?
So, I get back and head back toward my friend's house in the truck now. About 1 1/2 miles from where I broke down is a left turn in a 50MPH zone. So I'm sitting with my turn signal on waiting for a break in traffic and a lady isn't paying attention and never slows down. A truck is going around me slowly on the shoulder, so even if she did wake up from her stupor, she couldn't go around or stop fast enough. I floored it and almost caused another accident pulling in front of oncoming traffic in a gap I never woulda tried if not for someone looking to plow me at 50MPH. Luckily no one got hit in the ordeal.
I went to my friend's and told him that once I get home I may just never leave again. Every time I go anywhere I get stuff thrown at me (last ride on T1), I lose a motor, I get yelled at, or someone tries to kill me. :scared:

all I can say is CHILL !!!
when I was younger, I hunted out deceased ancestor graves and liberally doused those graves with JimBeam, filtered thru my kidneys. even hired a witch once in New Orleans for a "spell"
never made even the slightest difference, except to me, at that time.
Now, I live my own life and ignore the "HOLES" as if they are the same as bump in the pavement, which they are.
ride on !
every thing behind you is just smoke . . . . . . from old rings ? valves ? too much oil in the mix ? or another thousand more interesting things that beg exploring
