Both will rise the rpm your set forsome of the guys might know a better method. The lower you get the belt in front and the farther out in back the slower the clutch turns. That's one of the Benefits of an overrange tranny. I bought a stage 6 clutch because of the adjustability so I could get the clutch to grab right at the edge of belt shift. There's lots of adjustments possible with a cvt I haven't mastered it yet lol. So far everything I run has enough torque to pull through from a lower rpm as long as the clutch is loose enough to let the motor Rev some before it grabs

I have an adjustable clutch....its set to the lowest setting and the belt is moving about a half in into the rear pulley before the clutch grabs...im still learning all the different adjustments....Im running 7g rollers and the torque spring is just a little stiffer then stock....I will bump up to the stiff spring I have....im going to order one of the max rpm springs ryan suggested....

you got that moo, the torwue spring is what loads the belt. the clutch itself just delays reaction. the 1k spring in that clutch are more powerful then any 2k springs ive ever used. i still have my reds never used lol. also its a smart idea to take out that metal spring base for the top because it will cause a bind with that clutch idk why. switch to either nothing or malossi base for the top of spring where clutch rides.

i wouldnt order anything above 1250 max rpm spring as they are monsters!! if you go with 1500 be preppared to run atleast 8's on a 90cc forsure. i run a hebo clutch like yours and a motoforce oarnge wingbell along with maxrpm 1500 Torqjue spring. and 11.3g for var weights

Stock rear pulley? Ide try a stiffer torsion and mark the pulley,s good with a marker for belt travel after you get you short shift issue sorted. Only problem with a stiffer torsion is that sometimes the rear pulley will not open all the way. Thus giving a great launch and mid range, but a lose in top end. Ive got a scoot in the shop now with this issue.

thanks everyone for the good info....
ryan.....i never put that top spring base in....i was afraid it would keep the rear pully from opening all the way....i have a new toque spring that i think is a 1500 that i will try....im going to order a max spring at some point in time here....your thinking the 1250 will work good with this setup?
2strokd.....the rear pulley is stock but i lengthened the slots for more travel...

Best of luck man! Just keep those pulleys marked and check em after a good run so you know your getting the most of your set-up. I know you will get it tuned in good with patients. Ide like to try those "Max Springs" myself sometime.

the max rpm spring check ebay on g-force they have a sale for 19.99 shipped. just make sure its a Overrange for OR or stock replacement which ever you have.
1500 is still too much i think for my setup. i can hit 70's pretty easily running 11's but higher displacment calls for heavier weights. with a 90-103cc and 1500 spring from them it woud need high 8's-11's for full travel. with 1250 youd need about 7's-9s and trust me they are worth it when you never have to get another one. they are that good for sure
