long time no sign in for me.....i have been very busy and short on time and cash so the scoot got pushed to the back of the garage and forgot about for awhile....i just moved and now i have some free time....i pulled the vento out the other day and got to work....i was having a lot of trouble with my dell 21 carb so i pulled it...(most likely caused by buying an off brand one from ebay)....i had a stock carb off my Kawasaki klx110 dirt bike laying around so i made it fit the scoot....i am very pleased with it...it was fairly easy to make fit and it works very well...i had the carb tuned in in about 25min.....i pulled my adjustable clutch off and went back to stock to make tuning easier...i have been riding the scoot around for the past 2 days and it runs good....it pulls hard on the start and i can cruse at 60mph without ringing it neck...it seams to not suck the fuel down as fast also.....haha...the pipe seams to fit the build well also....the stinger is not getting hot like the old leo vince i had on before....i am very happy with the outcome of the 103.....i will post some picks when i can....i am still having headlight issues that i cant seam to figure out.....

so far i really like the pipe....it fit well and has no problem with the 103 motor....make sure you put some loctite on the nuts that hold the silencer on or even back them up with a second nut....the nuts fell off on mine and the silencer came apart while riding down the road....

hey everyone im back....its been a crazy summer and the scoot has been neglected. im trying to get the carb tuned it right....i got some free time today so i started working on it. last time i had it out riding it ran good but was running rich. i had jets on order but i still road the scoot and figured it wouldn't hurt to run it rich. when i was riding i noticed a drop in mid range power and some lose in top end power. i figured it might be the weights so i switched them out for sliders. no change. i have been playing with jetting and i cant seem to get it better. it pulls hard on take off then bogs down for a min then picks back up...top end is still less then it was tho. im thinking there might be some other issue other then carb because it was running fine then it dropped off....could it be a vacuum leak or something like that? ... P.S. thanks for answers other peoples questions in my absence. i did get the under tail cover from RPUSA...

Welcome back Nate. Never hurts to look for case leaks and make sure compression is where it was, if you remember where it was. Maybe the contra spring has faded a bit and it's revving lower?

With one of these : 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/506/make-2t-leakdown-testerThere are plugs for the exhaust port shown in there, but I think anymore most of us use either a solid rubber piece and an exhaust bolted on or I made a plate out of aluminum to bolt over the exhaust. The plugs can be a pain to seal sometimes.
