Good way to test it before sealing your cases on T1. Exactly. ;D

The sealant worked, and apparently everything else is alright. I swapped out the stock carb for the 19mm Arreche. Changed the gear oil to Mobil 1. Look at all the pretty sparkles! I cut a few vent holes near the clutch, sanded the rust, and painted the CVT cover. I figured flat black would draw the least attention to the CVT holes. Blends in nice with the stock airbox and kick starter from my Triton. I removed the trunk, leaving an over-sized, rusty, luggage rack. I just need a handle to make getting it on and off the center stand easier, so I got the grinder out and got to work. I've painted it silver since this pic. Back on two feet... even though ones still broken.

That's the stock airbox from T1. I had pulled it apart and bored out the snorkel where it got small and drilled some small holes elsewhere some time ago. I might pop it all the way off. It's been so long since I did it, I can't really remember how much I bored it out.
If this thing can't top 43MPH with all this stuff, I'm not gonna be happy... unless it goes 40 but wheelies like crazy. lol Right now, back to just the 70cc kit, the Sunl tops at about 36MPH and is really slow from about 28-max. I was actually planning on messing with it again, then another 2T came along. ;D The main thing that keeps me going back to the SunL is that I spend next to no money driving it around on 87 octane at 80MPG.

A set a straight bars would look killer on there. But then that would throw off the whole "retro sleeper" thing. Looks like it has a pair on it in the last pic. Coming along very nice!

Yeah, I do like that it is stock with clamp on bars. Easy customization. These aren't straight, but I don't mind them.

It really bugs me that there are 2 sets of turn signals up front. The problem is, they never made the built in ones functional. I popped the built in housings out of the plastic, and realized they're set up for a bulb. I had a couple of 194 style sockets around (which also fit larger 912 bulbs as shown). They don't fit in too snug though, and one socket is sorta messed up. They are plenty bright with 912s though, so I ordered some sockets that should fit. Probably could have got them at an auto parts store, but the price is right and I'm waiting on other parts anyway. I got 5 sockets for $9 on ebay. I'm not too fond of the Venus and 50CC emblems and reflectors on the panels either, so I ripped 'em off. Now I've got these ugly holes, that may be worse than the emblems. I stuck maksing tape over the outside of the panel. Cleaned the inside a little. Applied Rage Gold body filler. Removed the tape once it dried. I used spray paint and a Q-Tip as touch up paint. From some angles you cant see the holes much. From other angles they are obvious, and perhaps worse than the empty holes. I was gonna get some kind of stickers to cover the holes, but everything big enough is kinda tacky.

Still haven't decided what I'm gonna do with those holes. I got new fuel lines and a manual petcock installed. It's so much easier when they use a separate petcokc instead of the tank mounted kind. Put one thing on, take 5 more off.

Nice lights! A friend just did his S9 up like that. he used an old parts car for a doner and robbed the marker lights and bulbs. I like the stickers!
