Does seem that you have had your share of bad luck at the moment. You never know once the 49cc project is finished you might never go back to the big bore monsters :0 I may keep one around if I can manage any sort of impressive fuel economy with decent performance. Otherwise, I plan to go back to 90-100cc all around. I actually do have the original 70cc Polini Sport engine that came out of the Venus before the Polaris 90 went in. Honestly though, if the Venus doesn't torque wheelie... it's really not the Venus I know anymore.

A riding buddy was here a month ago and asked what the scooter was in the corner. I showed him and he asked if I wanted to sell it. I said sure. He gave me $50 to hold it (not like it was going anywhere) and then $250 today. I wanted to sell it for a long time, but online marketplaces irritate me so I haven't. This was super simple. Doesn't run. Needs work. I gave him the larger wheels and front fork for the disc brake swap if he wants to do that. He's going to try to get it going with a stock engine and take the panels off and let his son ride it at home and at the track. I told him to check everything, like valve stems and all, because it's sat for at least a decade.

Oh well, more space (and some funds) for new projects 😎
