Nice fix! Maybe you should use your center stand from now on if you have one.

Maybe you should get a large stepping stone from a home center and put it outside the garage door so you'll have a nice flat spot for the center stand. On a side note, I went to PCC Motor today for 4 more batteries and I picked up a pair of bar end mirrors like the ones you have for an even $20. I'm gonna try 'em on the QJ. They always cut me a deal if I drive over there He sells me four 7 amp (GTX7A-BS) batteries for $100. I sell 'em for $50 so I double my money. www.pccmotor.com/cncbarendmib.html

I could park it on the sidewalk, then push it over. It's only about a 25 ft difference in walking the scooter in.
I paid about $20 a set for mine too, but I gotta pay shipping. I like 'em though, so I can't complain. Some folks probably won't like them, I hope you do. I think they look better. The big benefit is that they stick out to the side so I'm not looking at my arm or shoulder. The on;y real downside is that you have to look farther away to check your mirrors.

I installed a 12V receptacle today. Not really sure what I need it for, but it may come in handy at some point. I can use it to plug in my tire pump for a roadside emergency if ever necessary if nothing else. Since I don't really need any of the idiot lights, I used their pod for the 12V socket. I would have installed it with them, but it wouldn't fit. I ended up using body filler to fill the holes where the lights were and repainting it. The silver I had looked so dark it was very obvious it didn't match, so I just went with flat black since it's the other color on the Venus.

I made up a bracket (wanted to make sure you don't blame that thing on John lol) and bolted up 190mech's "ugly test pipe" to see what it's like. It runs very well considering I had not done any change other than simply swapping the pipe out for the first ride. The sliders are too heavy for this pipe. I've got 9.5g in there for chugging around getting good gas mileage. Max revs were only low 8,000RPM range. Carb is not right. Still it's basically as fast as it was withe the Phongeer tuned. I'm quite surprised how versatile this thing is. It worked on the wilder motor to up above 10,000RPM in T1/T2 and yet it is capable of being bolted onto the Venus and running pretty well at lower revs. The sound of this pipe is my favorite. It's fairly quiet, but it's got a lot of that classic 2T ping. Such a cool piece. I took the CVT apart to put in some lighter (8.5g) sliders. Guides for the ramp plate were gone. I knew they were, because it makes a horrible sound at idle. It's been so reliable that I have just not touched anything for a long time. Sounds much better idling with guides in place. ;D Couldn't help but notice it's time for a belt change. I'd say I got my use out of this belt. It's the on;y one I've ever had on here since the 90cc and I've done a lot of riding in that time. I took it into town real quick after that. Feels better with the lighter weights, but now I'm sure the sluggishness is mostly the carb.

I had my gopro on there, but it does it no justice. You can't really hear the sound I'm talking about (plus it was pretty dark so the vid was no good).
Here it was on T1, but the videos just don't get that sound across. More like that old dirtbike sound.

I got it tuned with different sliders and ended up back at the 95 main. It spark knocks with less than that and acts way rich with more. Runs pretty well I'd say. New top speed, beating the Phongeer by 1MPH at 62. Max RPM was 9,500. Max with the PG was 9,100 of 9,200 I believe. Got a vid on the ride. I really like the view with the cam mounted here, but I hit it on the ground a few times, so I probably won't do that again.

Since the 110/80-10 tire I had on the read sprung a leak and then I burnt it down, I used the stock 90/90-10 on the stock wheel. It felt a little better taking off, so I decided to try replacing the rear tire with something even smaller and ordered a 2.75 x 10. 2.75 x 10, 90/90-10, and the 110/80-10 on the bottom. I never thought a 90/90-10 would look beefy. lol I weighed all three tires... 110/80-10 : 5lb 7oz 90/90-10 : 4lb 6.3oz 2.75 x 10 : 3lb 6.9oz So swapping to the little tire saves about 2lbs of weight that the engine has to turn, but which wheel is the lightest... stock steel or the aluminum one I've been using? Steel : 4lb 10.1oz Aluminum : 5lb 13.6oz Over a pound of savings by going with the stock steel wheel. Add in the savings with the smaller tire and that's 3lb 2.6oz less weight to rotate. Coupling that with the smaller diameter of the tire, it should really help acceleration. The steel wheel needed a valve stem, so I took care of that. I drilled a hole in each of the three spokes of the wheel. Managed to save another .3oz. lol I painted the wheel two-tone, much like lagerhead did, but the opposite colors. I tried to test it out, but something is slipping in the CVT. I believe it's the clutch. Spoiled? It's about 85 degrees and I'm sweating, so I turn the fan on my dog and I work without it. lol

The belt is getting kinda glazed. I guess 8-9hrs straight of riding is hard on 'em. It's also getting worn just a bit, so I had to remove a spacer from the vari to get rid of the slip I was experiencing. Does well now. Feels good. I was leaned over the front on the first launch in the vid below. It's kinda unpredictable. One time it will just go up an inch or two and another it wants to come up hard. :dunno: I think it could do more with a little lighter sliders, but it seems well setup to ride.
