This things got the perfect spot for a Sigma speedo. Still needs to be calibrated. It says my max speed is 61.1MPH and I've never left the garage. 0-60 in 40ft would be nice, but it's just a touch optimistic.

I switched up to 6.5g rollers. While I had the variator off, I filed down the stock fixed and movable faces so the belt can travel farther down in them. I switched to an 85 main jet but even the richest needle position bogged on a quick snap of the throttle. I could open it pretty quick and it was fine, but if I tried to open the throttle as fast as I could it bogged. I looked around and needles from no other carbs I have would work. I ended up putting the needle in a drill and holding some sandpaper to thin it out a bit. It started as 1.0mm-2.41 mm and I took it down to 0.88mm-2.31mm. It wasn't perfect, but better. I richened up the mixture and upped the idle accordingly and it's pretty good now.
I usually post a clip of all my new exhausts, so here's the SP3...

For sure. I just got in from a ride on this thing and I must say it put a smile on my face. It's hilarious in town. It goes 0-25 so quick that I pull out and it seems like I'm instantly on the bumper of the car I pulled out behind. I was in a dual lane 30MPH zone zipping past people right after I pulled out laughing. These standard geared scoots are fun for a fat man like me. Believe it or not, it's almost more fun with the quiet pipe. It draws no attention, so you surprise everyone when you leave cars from red lights. ;D I even went a little too far with the 6.5g rollers and it's still quick taking off. I'm gonna go back to 6g. I think I might try the stock carb too. I'm seeing why some people say the Arreche carbs suck. I didn't use it long on the 99cc and it worked so so. I just can't work the bugs out of this thing for this setup. It's better , but it just won't get 100% for me. I don't think I really need the bigger carb with the SP3 anyway. It doesn't rev really high. I got the speedo calibrated. I think it's pretty damn close. I stuck a boost bottle on. Just a quick job, not sanded, didn't even pull the stickers off. It didn't really do anything. I think it's because I used a small fitting and a small hose to fit the vacuum port on the carb's outlet that's intended to operate the petcock. Motomech from SD told me some time ago that large hoses and fittings work best on boost bottles. I definitely see that he's right after seeing the difference in this and even the 1/4" ID hose I normally use.

I was thinking of putting a "MD 50" tag on there actually. I had been wanting to go to a town in DE where I used to take the Mustang to mess with imports. A chunk of the main strip is full of short red lights. DE requires moped registration, so I figured even a homemade MD tag would help. Now I really wanna try out some ricers on the short bursts. lol They'll beat me, but if I can leave one for even a second off a light it would make my day.

Run GOOD! Gotta love them gears! Im happy just whatchin lol, post more vids! Oh sure buddy, you will kill em outta the hole. When i race cars they always think they can just sit back and cruise next to a scooter while they laugh. Funny thing is, im always the one laughing at the end! Have fun Brent

If I end up being able to mess with some imports, I'll have to save up for a helmet cam or something I can mount on the scoot... aiming backwards.

I stuck the stock carb back on today with an 85 main. It seems better with no noticeable loss of power form the 19mm. I haven't had a chance to really ride it though other than quick test passes.

I went for a ride with my father tis evening, but it was short. About 5-6 miles out I looked back and he wasn't there. Turned around and saw him sitting on the shoulder. He said it just quit. No noise, no power loss, no warning, just off like a switch. Felt like it had no compression. I brought it home and pulled the plug (all you can really do in this tiny little frame without removing the engine. Gee, I wonder what I'm gonna find when I pull the cylinder? I dunno if it had a lean spot at some low throttle position or what. That's all I can figure. I was on the Sunl and kept losing him at 35MPH, so he couldn;t have been on the gas too much. I dunno. IU've rode over 100 miles with no trouble, but I'm keeping the throttle open a lot more. It's the stock carb with an 85 main jet IIRC and the needle clip richened up with the stock airbox.

PTL syndrome(part throttle leanness),we tune for WFO but cant really tune for part throttle without a CHT gauge,I learned this with a holed piston last summer. The only cure is to ride it wide open or fiddle with needle thickness at part throttle...

I've seen that before. Maybe not quite that bad. Remember my soft-seizing @ 1/8 throttle? A lot of people think that such things can only happen at WOT. But, unfortunately, we've seen differently. I really hate your bad luck with your scooters of late. I hope it doesn't get you down. I know it would be tough on me to hold up to all you've encountered lately. I went through three pistons with my T6 before I retired it. What were the wind and atmospheric conditions like? Hopefully the piston is just mushed and not holed so nothing got into the crankcase.
