I love a good hot rod/car movie (or TV show)... even the cheesy ones. lol ;D Here are some of the ones I own or have seen (with samples when possible). If there are any that you enjoy or think I should check out, please share! Some of these probably aren't really considered car movies, but that's why I like 'em.  Two Lane Blacktop American Graffiti Hollywood Knights Dazed And Confused Smokey And The Bandit Christine The Wraith (5 of 5 on the cheesy scale) Knight Rider (I used to have the KITT lights on my '97 Firebird ;D ) The Dukes of Hazzard Talladega Nights Days of Thunder Stroker Ace OK... I'm tired of typing. |

My favorite car flick is Vanishing Point. If you've never seen it (the original 1971 one) you need to. I thought Granad Prix was pretty cool too. Some of my favorite chase scenes are in Bullet, Ronin, and The Bourne Identity. One of the lamest race car flicks IMO was Driven with Sly Stallone

I had Vanishing Point on VHS but I got rid of all my VHS stuff. It was the remake though. I gotta find the '71 version. I forgot all about Ronin and The Bourne Identity. Of course I can't leave out The Fast & The Furious films. I kinda like 'em and they kinda annoy me. I remember friends and I waiting around theaters when the first movie let out. The import folks would come out thinking their Civics were race cars... and then we'd destroy their fantasies. ;D  |

I watched the '71 version of Vanishing Point. It really is much better than the remake.

Glad you saw it. I don't know how I could have forgotten about Mad Max? Somehow I never get tired of watching that movie.
