Yeah I was just hoping to get lucky with the cover that's vented and painted. I also pulled the head on the Triton that I'm selling just to make sure there wasn't a lucky surprise to be found. That's the one with the odd number but it's a regular 50cc. At least I know. Had it been gone I may have always been wondering. I was only successful in removing one of the broken cover bolts from the cases I split and I cracked the case around one of them with an easyout. It won't affect the case but there will be 4 less bolts on the cover. I've run mine with the center and 2 others for sometime just to ease cvt tuning so I don't expect it to be an issue. Looking back I could of put this one in the for sale scoot and split the cases on the one in it. Oh well. Hind sight.

So may cases are apart and I'm waiting on a new bbk and spacer for an 85mm crank and I got to thinking about something. On the flywheel side behind the stator I pulled a white plastic wheel off the crank that was secured with a pin running thru it. What is it? I looked at the oil pump and can't see how it would have driven it but I can't figure out what did. I can be dumb but I'm stumped and dumb and that bothers me. Lol

That 'should' be a plastic gear that drives the oil pump!

Strange how it works. It's not like a normal gear. The out side surface is more like threads. This is strictly a premix motor so I guess it can go in the extra parts bin. Thanks 190.

It's such an important gear. Why is it plastic?

You guys have any sources for gearbox gaskets. I found a complete set in the UK but don't want to pay 12 bucks shipping for 11 bucks of gaskets.

Cool thanks. I guess complaining about gaskets while buying at expensive bbks and cranks is a little moronic. Lol

Ive cut allot of my own gaskets but this is were i drew the line lol. I just didnt want to cut one out and have any extra gasket hanging over the outside edges, it would be so obvious there.
I got lucky and got some from a friend for a good price!

I was looking at sealants for the cases and noticed several three bond makes. 1184, 1104, 12?? What do you guys use. I've used ultra gray on my reed blocks with success but I'd like some first hand experience with sealing the cases.

I use 1194. I like Ultra Grey for a lot of jobs and have used it on cases, but I think the 1194 is better for cases or at least I trust it more. I've had ThreeBond seal reeds/spacers when Ultra Grey wouldn't, but it is a real pain to break loose and clean up so it's not good if you will do frequent removal and installs of parts.
