Those are some seriously bad ass numbers for 'just' an old ac motor. Man cant wait to see what it'll do with that parts combo!

Those are some seriously bad ass numbers for 'just' an old ac motor. Man cant wait to see what it'll do with that parts combo! You won’t have to wait long. I got the MXS back in tonight. Just gotta let the sealant dry and hopefully if the weather cooperates tomorrow I’ll get it in tune.

Yep it’s fast. Definitely faster with this pipe then with that Most Wicked pipe. That Most Wicked pipe is kinda false advertising. Now that I’ve tried the R1400 it’s super obvious it’s not a race pipe as it’s advertised. Still a really nice pipe, but it’s a mid race pipe, a lot like the Polini ForRace4 pipe. So if any of you Prebug guys want a true race pipe, the R1400 and the one Roost makes are really your only options.
Now back to this new combo. It’s now pulling in the 12800-12900 rpm range, up from 12,100 on the S6 Race bore. I had a 142main Jet in it and had to upjet to a 152 and it needs a little more yet. I’ll hit up my local yamaha dealer and get a couple sizes bigger. I also had to drop the roller weight quite a bit. It had 4g rollers in it and now has 3.25’s in it. That’s the lightest weights I’ve ever had in any of scoots. I may end up increasing the rollers after I get some tuning in and compare numbers. Anyways I’m back In love with this scoot, Prebug’s for the win!

Ok I’m going to give the old Pre Bug some love and attention. It’s basically just sat since my last post here. A couple days ago I had the motor apart and readjusted the squish to hopefully fix the heat issues I’ve been battling. I have Friday off this week, so I’m gonna bust ass and finally get this thing in tune. I also just placed a decent size order to give the old girl a makeover. New things coming!

New shiny parts sounds interesting. It's gone from mild to wild. So what's next. They are such a great scooter, it's a shame to just have it collecting dust.

I had some time to do some tuning today and got about 90% dialled in. The carb is really close, but the CVT needs a couple tweaks. I’ll hopefully getter figured tomorrow

I’m gonna call the carb and Trans good enough. My parts I ordered should be here either tomorrow or the next day. On a side note I’m really liking these Michelin Reggae Tires. I ride this scooter everywhere. Ditches, gravel roads, woods and the street and tires have handled everything great. If you like to do light off-roading with your scoot give these a go.

I’ve been working on giving this scoot a bit of make over and I’m about 90% done. The front body panel is just sitting on there as I still have to wire up the new turn signals, but I just had to see what it will look like. I put a new seat cover on, new rear body work, switched it over to mx style handle bars with new grips and riser. All in all I’m really happy with how it turned out.

So I finished doing all the cosmetic stuff and now it won’t run worth a shit. It starts first kick idles perfect but won’t rev out. I’ve cleaned the carb twice, checked the reeds, swapped the coil made multiple jet changes, tried three different plugs and nothing changed. Any ideas on what to check next? Also the headlights don’t work now, but there is power going to them. I wouldn’t think both the bulbs would just burn out at the same time. Edit I just swapped carbs and still the same thing
