What kind of hp do you think these motors put out? I know they are more known for torque but I just want to know that this thing will put my 70 with zxr to shame. I want to use the right parts to make it worth my time. My 70 will hit 45-50 pretty quick. I just hope I don't build this and not be impressed.

I don't think you'll be disappointed. You see what got mine up too and I used all the old parts. I'm totally happy with what I got out of it. Runs stronger than my other setup. Can't wait to see what it will do with the new 54mm in there.

did you previously have a 70cc bbk? if so what mods? do you think the 90cc will blow it away? i know there is no replacement for displacement but as it has been stated before these engines have a bad flow design and i just hope 90cc isnt going to fall flat because of this. I am going to "clean up" the reed area and do some case work this weekend.

many of us have 96-110cc here that will go over 65mph. to go that fast on a 90cc you better put your money into porting and a actual real 90cc pipe or you wont ever see 60mph.
on the 90cc with general upgrades like 54mm top end, full circle crank, weights and srpings, average 70cc pipe expect 55-57mph or less. if you port the cylinder and run a actual 90cc pipe like the windjammers or peacepipes or even a c30 yasuni you will see bigger gains like 65 plus

Ok the case is ready. I cleaned up the intake area and removed some material so fresh charge can make it around the skirt . It was a pain beating the old bushings out for the engine mounts. I am trying to get this jog next weekend. I am going to get it for $100 no title. I just need help making sure it is a horizontal. I think it is because of the position of that oil tank reservoir on the front. The guy has all the plastics. I am going to stick 90 build in there and leave it totally stock looking. I will clean it up and do a nice paint job on the plastcs. Gonna be a nice sleeper. Just gotta make sure its a HORIZONTAL, can someone with a big monitor tell if that is a cylinder sticking out the front?

That was me. I put it in the scooter discussion thread because I just wanted to make sure it was a horizontal. It is gonna be my DREAM BIKE, I'm gonna clean it up and make it look just like 1992 except with a 96cc. I will keep my other jog but it is just missing so much. I ride it on the street but it doesn't have blinkers, speedo, it is bare bones. i have a front fairing foot board and front leg shield on the way for my other scoot. I had to sell my taotao bbk but I really don't care much considering what I am upgrading to. any suggestions? i guess i need to mic the cylined and piston make sure it hasnt been bored over. Just did a search on ebay for polaris 52mm got a few options that way
