So where do I go about getting a peice of aluminium to cut out a base spacer? What thickness do you think I will need? I went up 1.5 mm on my stroke. Or can I make it up with 2 base gaskets? Some insight would be helpful, thank you. Or should I get the crank installed and some base gaskets made and check my port timings?

I would get it mocked up and see what you're dealing with first. Check clearances and duration, compression if you'd like, and then decide. Even though stroke changes by 1.5mm, the piston won't move 1.5mm higher in the bore. It'll move 0.75mm higher and 0.75mm lower. www.mcmaster.com has sheets of aluminum in a bunch of thicknesses if needed. Convert their decimal and fractional inch measurements to mm (inch x 25.4 = mm) and there's a nice selection.

Correct, 1.5mm = .75 more after tdc and bdc. Do u think a base gadket will take care of it? I want around 170 psi. So first order of business is assemble bottom end. Thanks ill be back

Maybe. Depends what you want, how the cylinder is setup, how thick the gasket is/how much it compresses.

man, you live in Florida by the beach. No matter what scooter I have I cant top that. I love the ocean, I took the family down to Navarre beach for 10 days. It was beautiful! we saw sea turtle eggs hatch and the little turtles running to the water at night. My wife and i plan on moving there when our kids are grown. Just so you know i am totally jealous... i have been looking for just such a find for months now

man the florida beaches are BEAUTIFUL ! The water where i went when we visited was almost the same color as Atlantis in the Bahamas. The California beaches are no where near as pretty as pretty as Florida and the weather isnt nearly as nice. But I do like the vibe in California. Florida is definatly the place for me I live about a mile from the beach. I walk down and try took hook into a big one now and then or take the kayak out.
