well I am hopefully getting a complete stock jog this weekend with all plastics inact! i think i might like the way this one looks. I am going to have to put a lot of consideration into painting that front faring...i was kinda set on satin black and purple. Yes, i remeber those VWs!

thank you sir, just what i wanted..a goofy scooter Wow that's cool looking good I kinda like the goofy miss matched color setup. Now to find the rest in whatever color you can find and paint none of it for that funky partridge family bus look lol. I've seen cars like that from the factory but can't remember what brand want to say vw Sent from my SPH-L720 using proboards

i wonder if this will make me more aero dynamic and have a higher top speed? what do you guys think? I really thought I would go faster when I put my 103 in a full fairing lowered scoot after it was in a scoot with hardly any fairings and the one it had was basically a cup or C shape facing forward as a wind collector. Made no difference that I could tell. That was at 70MPH. There may have been less frontal area with the naked scoot vs the full fairing scoot so maybe they just evened out? I know aero certainly matters at even low speeds though, because otherwise I couldn't tuck down on my 35MPH TaoTao and speed up.

Sure looks better with the plastic IMO.
In drag racing we run at least a front faring to help cut the wind. Im no pro (just track record holder lol) but the pros (Overrev) say it really helps. And we are only talking 660-1320 feet here. So ide imagine its gotta help some when reaching for top speed. That is providing you have the gear ratio to pull up there. Of course if you cant keep your body much out of the wind than it might not matter so much.? Speaking of that. My Jog had pretty short gears stock from what i remember. I dont know the number but i do remember it winding out at about 50-55 when stock.

yes , gearing is stock. i have hit 52.6 to be exact. I could put larger tires on it that would be could for a couple more mph. BUt all in all its good for now. Once i get the 90 built i will have to get the 70 up to speed so they can cruise together Sure looks better with the plastic IMO. In drag racing we run at least a front faring to help cut the wind. upgear will give alot of potential vs maybe 1mph out of a bigger rear tire. it helps but alomost unnoticeable. 90's that are adly's or jogs have better gearing selection by far. gearing can be had just about anywhere nowadays. for around 30 you can get decent secondarys and and lay around for cheap

Thanks for the info, I would have wasted my time fighting a new tire on for nothing! It is definitely easier to change gears than tires. I will update this thread as I build and tune my 90. I think I have everything I need except exhaust and carb. Oh and I need some 90 fan shrouds. I still haven't decided which engine is goning in which bike. I am leaning towards the 70 in the completely stock bike I am picking up. It will be more of a daily rider and the one I have at the moment will be my lil racer

As for who rides what bike, well that depends. My wife like her Taotao and we are getting a little older. I dont know if she will appreciate the power difference between the jog and the TAO. She did ask me which on can she ride wheelies on! i would prefer neither because i dont want them laid over! a scoot just takes some getting used to. On a jog you can navigate through traffic at will. On the Tao you are limited because it is so slow. I think once she gets some seat time on them she will be in love! Most likely she will want the one with the storage space under the seat for her work stuff/hair/color/scissors ect and the 70cc engine will be just right for her
