The piston in the pic actually ran the engine good enough to pull me around on bare frame. Good sign? Oh, the top ring was broken to match of course. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come. When the rings & circlips get in I will start on the serious work, now I will focus on asthetics. Any tips on plastic modification anyone?

The tracking numbers show my parts are about three days out. Today I am going to strip the bottom end down and start grindimg and filing. I have the electrical system on the frame alteady. I moved the tail light and rear signals just trying to figure out what to do to the bug eyed look of the front fairings. Oh well I justhope it runs and looks good under a total of 300 bucks. So far including parts I am in this for just under 250.

Those pistons are pretty tough... Speaker grill.... I'm totally stealing that idea... I see your rocking the Mountain Dew. Always a requirement when doing a serious build.

Well guys, the build just got cheaper as I was just robbed kinda glad the furnace in my garage was out as it forced me to relocate this build. Most of my tools were stolen so this build not only got cheaper, but simpler as well. My rings should be here tomorrow. I posted a few more pics in the link earlier in this thread. I cut all of my gaskets and a spacer for my reed cage from cork material. The layers of the spacer were each glued together to decrease the likeliehood of leaks, each gasket will be glued on both sides upon installation. I removed asmuch extra mayerial as I could with hand files,I WAS going to retouch ot today but my dremel WAS in my garage. This build went from being economical to white-trash cheap. Well this is Kentucky after all.................

Well, I just put the budget scoot together. I was all in my head the whole time, got it all assembled, kicked it over and thats when it hit me. My f-ing pipe was in the garage. I geuss I just don't have a scoot now. The robbery is going to cost me over ten k when all is said and done, so no money. This sucks. I don't know what to do. Some scum wants my stuff and my ride has to suffer. My cage blew a head gaskey tonight so that has to be fixed too. I just can't win for losing. One of these days in the not so near future maybe I will be able to afford my pipe and a bbk for the build and then I will add to this thread. Untill then I'll just cruise this forum and check in from tiime to time.

Was going to post in the other thread, but would your homeowner's insurance cover some of the losses? I had to drop my insurance a while back. After I wrecked my bike I lost my job. The rent from my tenant house barely pays the bills. Thank you 190Mech. You are too good.

Man stolen tools is my worst nightmare! Looks like u have the pipe covered, I also have a spare stoke pipe if the other doesn't work out. If u need any more small parts post it up as I have a spare motor. I might have a bbk I will send you. I haven't pulled the top end off yet bu t I think it is good condition. The guy I bought scoot from said it had a bbk I never ran it just pulled the motor. I have looked through exhaust port and cylinder looks good. I will hone it and send it to you if everything checks out. I should know by end of weekend. Redneck build, hell yea!! I'm from TEXAS
