Yea, I was trying to consider if I should send hI'm the newer kit I got from you and he could just put in without much thought. If I send hI'm the polini it will be wasted with a stock pipe would the polini run better on my bike with the zxr pipe or just keep the cylinder I have and ship the polini? Any help here? It's Polini..and they are performance kits. The Contesa is mid - high range and VERY torquey engines so a pipe helps.. But it looks like the Corsa which is their $299.00 all out race kit..and they wind up high!! But careful as they will wind up beyond the limits of a stock crankshaft!!. I have seen one that would wind 12,500 like it was nothing. In fact it no longer sounded like a 2T...it just had a whistle sound to it like an A10 Warthog. So he he painted his scoot grey and used A10 Warthog logos on it. Looked bad ass. His brother owns a print shop and does decals..stickers n such. So he made the 'Shark Mouth' emblem for the front of his Jonway Raptor.. It has a Leo Vince pipe on it..but he does have an EMS? I think is the brand of crank..EMS or something like that he got from scootertuning.ca The thing sure eats spark plugs though..so he carries a spare under his seat. Glenn p.s. He also milled the head a bit..so any gas less than 91 octane causes detonation..so I wouldn't mill the head.. Lastly (he says anyway but I have never seen a pair) says he uses 3k springs in the clutch. I do know that the clutch does not grab until just over 5k..and by then it is starting to come up on the pipe. So it is not very 'Streetable'..but does make zero to the next traffic light a load of fun..

The corsa doesn't come with a 12mm pin. There is a guy in Hawaii that sells them though matched with a 12mm piston and pin from a dio I believe. Polini's full race cylinder is the Evolution. They describe the Corsa as a sport kit but it's somewhat confusing because they also make a Polini Sport cylinder. The Corsa would be better with a pipe. Think S6 sport pro, mhr pro rep, Airasal t6. All aluminum but similar reving. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I haven't shopped for a top end in a while.

I did have a Polini Contesa but did not care for it. I have an Evolution currently new in the box..but would not use it until I upgrade my crank. The guy with the Polini Corsa seems to be well above a "Sports" kit then.....cause it really revs....but could be how he has the scoot setup. Even if nelson has a "Sport" kit..I am sure it can be tuned to run pretty hot. Best part of it is..it was like a 'Freebie' with his sccot..and even came with a Polini Intake Manifold!!. Thank you for correcting me.. Glenn

I would think of it as street race. Seems easier or a cast iron race cylinder. Any how, need to check pin sizes. Maybe that's been done and I missed it. :-)

I've got an Arreche 19mm carb. It needs the top cover, needle jet and spring. Racing planet has the parts for 20 bucks. I'll donate to the cause. If you like I'll check the main in it. I ran it on an Airsal with a stock pipe. It has electric choke.

The Corsa is basically a Contesta/Sport AFAIK with the same ports but 1mm higher in the cylinder. Revs higher, less low end, but not all out race like an Evo.

You guy are great. Am I correct in assuming that the bbk is a 10 pin? I have to be the luckiest S.O.B. alive. Thanks for everything. I have a 19mm Mikuni, I can get jets for it, I was already trying to find a main and a bowl.seal so I could use it on this build.

Let me know if you think you can use this? I tried to get it cleaned up a bit but the wife wasnt too happy with my hours in the garage Plus trying to get my own engine together. Thats great you will have a good running bike all for $300 ! Nelson, wow! Man , I don't know for sure, but this bike may reject a high-dollar part!lol Seriousy though, would that work with a stock pipe/crank setup? I honestly have no clue about the workings of bbk's and other performance add-ons. I would honestly be just as happy with a decent kit that wwould not be so expensive on you, as you could even use that kit with your pipe and have yourself a screamer. I could be wrong , but wouldn't a stock pipe/crank seriously limit this kit? I do not want to seem ungrateful, please don't think that. Thank you all for everything. Chris

I know for a fact it was a good running bike with the stock pipe and BIG carb. It was still attached to the stock crank and I am certain it is a 10mm wrist pin. It looks like stock crank. Problem was the guy broke the threaded end off the crank that holds on the nut that holds on the cvt. I am just going to send you this polini bbk.you will get it to work

My crank is full circle raited for 14000 continuous rps. I am running a doppler endurance in my jog with your kit on it. Would likely work great with my setup. But I want 2stroked to have it. Just want him to be able to use it. I don't think it would do well with his stock crank Yea, I was trying to consider if I should send hI'm the newer kit I got from you and he could just put in without much thought. Guys I need to know where to get a suitable carb for this kit, as the Miki I was going to use is trashed. There is a hair line crack through the length of the intake side of the venturi, and any way it is in pretty rough shape. Can you all recommend an appropiate size/type of carb for this kit? I can't believe I never even noticed the flaws with this, but that could be the reason I used it for a spare on my baby, instead of just using it since i had this one first. Any tips would be great as I am more used to 4t engine/carb set ups than 2t. I will say however that now I do honestly prefer a 2t.

Look above, 2tdave said he has a carb for you. Just needs like 20 $ in parts to get it in shape.

I do have a small ( stock? ) miki oval, but will it work with the proper jeting? Is it even big enough to flow the right amount of air/fuel mixture. This is totaly unfamiliar grounds for me. I don't know enough about 2t. operational flow patterns with or without a bbk. Would I be able to tune this carb to use? Or is it too small to work.

I read that, but for some reason half of everything I read this morning is just rattling around in my hollow (tired?) skukk, before leaking out of my ears! Like I said i do have a stock size carb i just do not know if it will work, if not then maybe 2tdave could save my @ss.
