Yes, I think you could get the stock carb to work with correct jetting. Just have to tune accordingly and dont overheat/overrev stock crank. I think u will be fine with stock exhaust, I think it will keep revs limited. We will let others chime in .

2tDave, I do have a stock size carb but at this point I can not fefuse any help. If you feel that you want to send it I will pm you my address. I am very unexpierianced with 2t carb tuning. I am going to have to cruise this forum for info on the subject.

Thank you for the link Doc, but as I am flat broke now, I will try to upjet my stock(?) Mikuni first, as I believe I have some miki jets laying around in a box somewhere.

Let me know how the stock rejet goes, and if you need it and are able to order the top cover, spring, and needle jet I'll send it. I'd send it now but w/o the parts it really won't be any help.

Yeah, thanks Dave. I agree, it WOULD be a waste of your $ and time to send it right now. Thanks anyway man. I think I can rejet that little miki to work, I hope so any way, as it is a direct fit to my intake anyway.

I've got a spare carburetor like the one usmcdoc posted in that link. If things don't work out with your other carb just let me know. Also an 85 and 90 jet.

Thank you Sitticuss, I may have to hit you up on that offer man. I have been doing some reading here and am nearly wholely convinced I can tune my stock size miki to work with a stock pipe and the bbk from nelson, if he is able to send it. Thanks again to everybody who has chipped in and everybody that has offered to chip in, during this ordeal.
It wierd how something terrible like my robbery can result in something as great as the out-pouring of kindness I have witnessed here. This truly is an amazing forum

I have read that not all round mains may not work with my little miki. Looking for tips here guys. Thanks

I have to manauly refresh the page or my phone will not show changes such as new posts unless I leave and come back, and sometimes even then. I sent sitticuss a messege regarding the carb/jets though. I am just trying to get in as much forum time as possible, as I now have a ( mysteriously?) vacant house, that I HAVE to get a tenant in ASAP, starting tomorrow I may not be online very often.  I am fairly certain it is polini contesa. You can always add a better pipe later and fly! But like I said this was a scoot they brought back from hawaii and it was running untl the dude broke off the crank nut.  |
