Didn't you have low compression, or am I thinking of someone else's build? Sorry, sometimes I have a tough time remembering the details of my own scoots.

I didnt have low compression. The engine only has 300 miles on it

It's probably restricted. Cvt, exhaust, or cdi or all. Or it was in bad tune.

We don't know what happened in those 300 miles.

Does the pipe have a restrictor in it?

But it all looks fine to me. The cylinder isnt scored at all, rings look good and the head was relatively clean before i cleaned it off.

It had an ngk bpr7hs in it. Shouldn't it have an ngk bpr8hs?

I ran bpr6hs in a stock 50. Br9hs in my 70. I don't know what the codes are but I believe the lower number is a hotter plug.

BR8HS is the most common replacement or BR8HIX for iridium. Lower numbers are hotter. 7 is probably fine. The P is a projected tip plug.

It doesn't look like it had a restrictor but it could be because everything was set up far a 49. Rollers, spring, airbox, small 14mm carb and all that...

What benefit would a hotter plug be. I've been worried about heat and knock.

The pipe may have a washer welded in it at the header or just before the can. The variator may have a restriction spacer or the cdi a looped wire coming out and going back in.

There wasn't a spacer in the variator when i had it pulled apart
