Also, what weight rollers does a minarelli usually come with stock? I'll probably need heavier ones but I don't know what's in it right now...

My shot case used 5g. My long cases used 4g. Could be something else. A cheap digital scale is very handy. Something like $10 on ebay. The rollers will be 15x12mm.

I might just have to get a scale then.

Just got my bbk. I'm about to start tearing down the engine. I do have one problem though. I don't have a torque wrench...

Okay so I just took the cylinder and piston out and I have an even bigger problem.... This is the piston from the kit i ordered from doc This is the piston that was in the engine.... And here are the pistons and cylinders next to each other.... Can anyone tell me what I've got here? I knew the guy I got it from so I called him and he said he has never modified this engine.

Looks like you have a 50mm bore. What's the engine number on the case back where the shock bolt is. Does your speedo read kph or mph? Looks like you've got a 90cc.

I use to hear about Vento Zips(same as yours)from Mexico being 90cc and reading kph. A guy on another forum a few years back ran into the same luck. If you think it's bad luck you are wrong. You can build a bad torquey beast out of that motor.

Look at the cylinder for markings.

Thats the best bad luck ever. You a lucky mutha! Do this up right. U have a 90 that the law will read as a fifty. Guess u didnt need a bbk after all, why did u think of a bbk? Was it weak, or u just wanted it? New rings and maybe a light hone, youre good to go.

This is a good problem to have. You have a 50mm bore (measure the cylinder bore and it should be right about 50mm) and 42mm stroke or above. You can measure the travel from BDC to TDC to figure out the stroke for sure. I would talk to Doc and see what your options are for return or just sell the kit in the classifieds section. Then you can look for a 52-54mm kit and add some displacement. Measure the stroke first though. I'm guessing it's 42mm, but some 90cc engines have up to 45mm stroke. The 90cc cylinders are available in different heights depending what stroke you have. Could just measure the height of your existing cylinder from base to deck (don't measure the skirt) to match up to new cylinders too. It's prob either around 77 or 78.5-79mm if it's a longer than 42mm stroke.
Sorry, I don't feel like going through the 9 pages of the thread ATM and I can't recall for sure if you needed this for low compression or not. If you had low compression maybe you cna get away with a new set of rings. Check everything over before you decide anything. Even if you still wanna go bigger on the cc, check the crank out before you do anything else.
Be careful with that pipe. Big motors don't like pipes for small ones sometimes. Not really sure of the details of the exhaust you have.

And if it's a 90cc then why did it only go about 35 on flat ground?
