I need some ideas for turn signals and a tail light. Anyone have any?

That was 2strokd getting the carbon out. You should be able to use brake cleaner and a medium grit sandpaper or 3M pad or you can use a sanding bit on a dremel lightly.


Look around on eBay for LED turn signals. Lots to choose from. I use a truck and trailer LED light for the tail/brake. It's mounted in a rubber grommet that's in a steel bracket I made. It's been my favorite tail/brake light so far because it's very bright and the grommet protects if from vibration. I've ruined a few tail lights being solid mounted. There are options from ATVs and motorcycles, again browse eBay for ideas.

Here's the tail/brake I mentioned :

It needs a plug like this :

I think this is what I'll buy. I'm gonna use the oval light for the tail light and the little circle ones for flashers. Everything will be about $36.83 before shipping costs.

With led signals, u may need a flasher relay that is intended for the lower draw of the led lights. They draw such a small amount of juice that the stock relay may not be triggered. I know in vehicles its that way, not sure about these scoots.

I'll try it without the special flasher and if it doesn't work I'll know I need the led flasher.

Thats what i did



Nothing really special about them. They just reqire less than a quarter of juice to trigger the relay.

Remember to never use the old eddison bulb with the LED flasher or it will overload.

If you have a regular bulb in the circuit, like the front turn signals and the rear are LED's, then you might be able to get away without the LED flasher relay.

Well I'm still looking for something to use for front flashers.

I ordered my BBK from doc yesterday and it should be here monday. I still have yet to find something I like for front flashers.
