I haven't got much done on the scoot lately because I'm waiting for parts. I may run to the scooter shop and see what they've got. I just thought I'd give you guys an update.

Not yet. I was talking to him through pm's for a day or so and now he has quit responding. That's the main part I'm waiting to order. Haha.

I've never dealt with him for parts, but everyone else gives him great reviews. Hang in there and maybe reply again in the PM in case something got mixed up or didn't go through.

Well the scooter shop was no help to me. More of a scooter store then a shop. The guy tried talking me out of a big bore kit saying I'll only get a 4mph gain out of it. He said to get a new coil and cdi and it would do more then a big bore. Lol yeah, so I won't be going back there ever again...

I love how they have such exact numbers. 4MPH gain. Not 3 or 5, 4. So how much would you get from his coil and CDI?

I didn't even ask. After we were done talking about other stuff I asked if they had the parts I was looking for and he said no so I said okay, thanks and left.

He's probably got a shelf full of high performance blue cdi's with nothing inside of them. Haha!!

There are good folks in some shops, but many will tell you whatever it takes to sell their wares. So many people don't know what's what and just assume the guy they're talking to must be an expert since he works with scooters every day. I literally educated a scooter shop on engine displacement years ago. The owner called his mechanic over and I had to explain bore and stroke and calculation of displacement to them after they sold a friend a 49cc but told him it was a 72cc. Then the owner offered me a job. In that case it wasn't even that they wanted to tell you the wrong thing, they just didn't even know... but they were willing to convince anyone that would listen that they did know. I'd be the worst salesmen ever... na, don't buy that... it's not that great. lol

You should've asked him if he any powerbands for your scooter....lol I don't think of a BBK as a huge speed gain anyway.... It's more about getting there faster...

Sometimes you get a good bit of speed from a BBK and sometimes you don't. Depends on the the details. I find it hard to believe anyone would ride a scoot with a CDI and coil vs a scoot with a big bore and say the CDI and coil is the way to go... unless maybe the old CDI was bad or the stock engine was one of the "secret" big bore engines. I don't have a racing CDI on any of my scoots, they're just sitting in a drawer while I use stock CDIs.
