Sorry bout that. no harm intended. I am over 6'1" with a 34" inseam, so they all seem small to me. Every single one of the 250 cruisers are less than 28" in seat height.

No offense taken. Maybe just not the ones that I like, prefer a retro style. Everything I've looked at was over 28" and I can't reach the ground, 5'1" here. Though for a 6' guy the 28" range is still too low. You'd hit your knees on my handlebars when you turn. The Honda Shadow, and the Yamaha Virago is going to be too short for you too. Those are the motorcycles I can ride. The Rebel is taller not much though, the 6'2" guy that tried to sell me one thought it too short for him too.

The Rebel is the shortest one of the bunch you mentioned. My favorite right now is the Hyosung GV250. Its pretty big for a 250 cruiser. I worry about parts for it though and I want to buy used and it is not so common so I therfore like the Suzuki GZ250. I was fairly comfortable sitting on that.

Honda's Rebel 26.6", Shadow 26.6" and 27" for the Virago. Seat width is never mentioned, it makes a difference. I rode the Virago in class. The Rebel felt like too much of a reach for my toes. The placement of the seat and handlebars makes a difference.... 27.8" for that GZ250? See, not so much difference from description, but when you sit on it... That Hyosung looks pretty sharp, but your probably right about the parts.

I am not a big fan of the extreme cruiser position. The Suzuki is more of a standard position. Infact Suzuki lists the bike as a standard. The seat is slightly higher than the others and the pegs are not quite as forward and the bar is rather straight.

I went on a long ride today. Just about as far as I have gone in one ride. It was about 28 miles all total. I found quite country slow roads and actually crossed the border from North Carolina to South Carolina. Very pleasant if not a little concerning as I had not checked my gas before going and there was not a soul in sight proactically on this ide. Anyway when I came back towards civilization that s when the typical crap started. People comming up behind me and tailing me even though I am going a few miles over the speed limit. I come to a four way stop and a big pick up truck comes up behind me also turning. He does not take his stop at the sign but is detirmined to pass me right after I turn. He goes into the turn only lane in a no passing zone and squeezes between me and the oncomming car. All this and as he is passing me I am actually going two miles over the speed limit already so it is not like I am hurting him or something.

I went out again for my country road jaunt. All was pleasant till I returned to civilization. At the very same intersection a car rolled through the intersection behind me so that it could hurry and pass me in the turn only lanes. The problem is this time an oncomming vehicle was turning into that lane from the opposite dirrection to use it for its intended purpose of turning. The car passing me had to cram on ts brakes to avoid a head on collision which would have been right next to me. As it was he slowed down and changed back into the proper lane behind me, then going as I was 5 miles over the speed limit. Now bear in mind this car was not following behind me prior to that. He had just turned onto the road about a block before that.
I think people see a small scooter and instantly get annoyed assuming I will be too slow.

I have kind of a tough choice. I do not have the cash to buy another bike. I am thinking about buying a motorcycle. I would have to sell mt scooter to do that. I always thought to myself I would not ever sell my Maliguti. I was planning on getting a 150cc scooter and keeping the Guti. But I have changed my mind on the 150cc scooter in favor of a bike. If I get the bike I know I will not ever ride the scooter. I am really torn on it. but if I am going to sell the scooter it would be smart to sell it now in the middle of Summer when prices are high.
I love my Guti though!

There is retail pricing and trade in pricing. I am guessing that for sale by private owner might be in the middle. I must say that I am a little surprised at how high it is being valued.

So any advice on what I should list my scooter for to sell it? I am not even sure what year it is. I now it is atleast a 2003 because that is the first year they have the digital guages. I think it is either a 2003 or 2004 going by the paint and graphics. It has 4,400 miles on it. In pretty good condition, with only some surface scratches. Basically all stock and original. I am having a real tough time with this as there is not a lot of examples of what people are actually paying for these things out there. In the blue book do I go by retail or trade in? Or neither?
Confused. Help!

I'm not good at values for scoots. I would say expect closer to trade-in. Maybe look at craigslist in your area and see what other scoots are selling for?
