There are no titles for 50cc scooters in North Carolina. They are not registered.

I'm not good at values for scoots. I would say expect closer to trade-in. Maybe look at craigslist in your area and see what other scoots are selling for? I am perplexed because of the rarity in the USA for the F15. I found only one other for sale in the USA so far, asking price $1,550. I see a number of F12 for sale with wildly varying prices assigned to them $1.200 to $2,600. It all seems high to me. Also because I am in a state that does not register a 50cc scooter I am abliged to sell it here too which is going to lower the potential to sell it and therefore I would think the price too.

I love that site. It's not perfect but still very good to find something.
I've found that if your make of scooter is not listed in the drop down list you can click on scooter there and enter your specific make or model in the filter: box and what you are looking for will be listed after you hit enter or click on go.

Three intact F15s are shown in your link $1,200, $1,400 and $1,500. The one I found was over $1,500. My scooter is in pretty good shape other than a mssing seat lock. I think my asking price should be in the middle. Of course the asking price is not what people settle for. Just because thse people are asking it does not mean they are getting it.

I would maybe keep it but these things need to be maintained and ridden and I think that if I bought a bike I would be kidding myself with riding the scooter. Has anybody here wned a 50cc scooter and bike athe same time? If so did you ride the scooter ever?

The under seat storage is really handy for jaunts about town to pick up smaller items. When you're tired and have to run somewhere, a lightweight automatic scooter is a boon compared to 300-400 lbs of manual-shifting motorcycle and a 2t is pretty much ready to go when you hop on it and saves warm-up time.

A friend of mine owns a bike and a scoot. His scoot is a 150, but the size of my bigger 50s. He prefers the scoot for around town and relaxing rides. There's no real comparison if you wanna go on a highway or haul ass though.

I was thinking the difference in the brakes and the shifting would cause confussion and maybe be dangerous.

I think if you're already used to riding motorcycles it would not be a problem. The only significant difference would be the same position for the rear brake/clutch. But pulling in on the clutch would hardly be consequential while you were already slowing down.

My friend doesn't seem to have an issue getting back on the bike. When he gets on the scoot he says it takes a bit to start feeling comfortable with how light it is and he does pull the brake lever looking for a clutch from time to time. Nothing that's a big deal though.

I looked at a1997 honda Knighthawk 250 yesterday and today I looked at a 2002 Suzuki GZ 250. I do not have a Motorcycle license so I did not ride either but simply looked at them running an with the owner riding them. Both kind of nice. The Honda is more of an upright standard and the Suzuki more of a cruiser. Not sure about either.
