Well, it may be a little early to start this build thread, but here I go. Hope this one gets finished! If you follow this thread, please do not make any assumptions that I know what I am doing! If you have any opinions or help to offer, by all means post it here, as I need all the help I can get. Also note that I move slow, unless I am on a scooter. If I get this build done by fall, I will be surprised! I picked up a 90cc autotech355 kit from a member here, 2strokd (thanks for the deal bro) and I am happy with the quality, at least as far as I can tell. My search for a 45 stroke crank turned up little but stock type cranks. I found a 90cc 43.5 stroke crank at parts for scooters, I ordered it last week, and got it today. I am not impressed at all with the quality/finish of the crank, but what do I know? Lol! I wish I had just got a stock 90cc 45mm crank instead for my first build, but I rarely send anything back, so I guess I will try to use what I have.

Metal hpc (full circle) crank. What don't you like about it? Looks ok in the pic. Hard to tell from here. Was it Nelson that just bought one of those? How tall is the Cylinder?

You starting with 90 or 50 cases? Got a motor to build while you ride or going to be out of service?

Metal hpc (full circle) crank. What don't you like about it? Looks ok in the pic. Hard to tell from here. Was it Nelson that just bought one of those? How tall is the Cylinder? First I should say that I like Parts For Scooters overall, I have spent 100dreds with them, and will continue to spend money with them. However this particular part is not cast or finished very well IMO, but it may be the best crank in the world for all I know. There are places on it that did not get machined if you know what I mean, because there was not enough metal in random areas. Mostly cosmetic more than likely? Also it does not have any oil holes drilled in the small end of the rod. The cylinder is 77mm tall. I've got a regular hoca 45 crank Looking to sell it? Is it new, never installed? You starting with 90 or 50 cases? Got a motor to build while you ride or going to be out of service? I am starting with a 50cc long case set, and I will be "hogging out the cases" by hand, somehow. And yes, I am fortunate to have other scooters to ride ATM, unless someone steals them too!

The easy way would be an autotech355 45mm crank with the 10mm pin for the 50 cases and change the rod for a 12mm pin. Then just hog out for the Cylinder. I've got a hoca with a few hours on it and another that is new. New one is large spline small taper. The hoca is large large

Metal hpc (full circle) crank. WHat don't you like about k in the pic. Hard to tell from here. Was that the one nelson that just bought one of those? How tall is the Cylinder? Sent from my SPH-L720 using proboards Yes, that is the same one I have. Quality looks decent to me , especially for the cost. Its not as nice as my Doppler endurance I used in my 70 But definitely better than a stock crank. For the simple reason it is full circle is reason enough by itself. This will decrease crank case volume and throttle response. It reminds me of Vitos atv cranks, I have seen one of those break out of about 20. I have ran mine but only in the garage as I am still waiting on a wheel....and Ryan wont reply about refunding my money. Anyway, I did some case work and cleared material out fora more direct flow to ports. It seems to run good on the stand but you know how that is. I have 24mm mikuni flat slide carb with polini intake, carbon reeds. I had a spacer but I couldn't get a filter on it due to frame being in the way.I have a 50mm cylinder with high squish head and the stock 52mm cylinder that I turned into a squish head. It is likely I will work the ports on the 50Mm and run it. I think my 50mm cylinder is 1mm shorter than the 52 but compression seems low on both. My 52 now has a 11cc head. I put a compression tester on it and kicked it over a few time and only had 125psi. I want to be around 150to 175. First I am just going to get it running and go from there. But it has fired up and idled.

Oh and I bought a technigas 100cc pipe. John I believe did a review on it from measurements and said it is decent for about 9500 rpm which should be stout for 90cc, but I dont know for sure ? I didn't notice if there was a hole on the rod for oiling the wrist pin bearing. I am going to check it out and if not I will add one. I am hoping this bike will be a runner, more so than my 70. It will be a build in progress until I am satisfied, as I have my other jog to ride.

I did notice autotech now sells a nice looking con rod kit. I was wondering, will the autotech crank fit in the 50cc cases without having to hog the crank area out?

Also, do you have the measurements, and or pictures of that 100cc pipe handy? I would like to compare them to the technigas I have. The pipe I have is a monster compared to my nextR, and it may be too big, if that is possible? Lol!

Looking forward to following your build and learning along the way. Thanks, hopefully we can all learn something, but I hope this thread does not turn into "Oldgeek's 90cc + Build...How NOT to build a 90cc"

This is the TG next r 100cc pipe. Some of the straight sections weren't round from the Bender used so I tried to average them. Header id 24mm 29mm 76mm 29mm 32mm 172mm 32mm 35mm 82mm 35mm 39mm 100mm 62mm 62mm 119mm 89mm 89mm 61mm 89mm 89mm 155mm 23mm 23mm 16mm 23mm (end of cone had short straight section) 20mm 198mm 20mm I didn't pull the silencer off but if you need me to recheck anything or need more info or pics I'd be happy to help. I'll get the pro done this week end The first 3 sections had no taper they just put them togather and filled the gap with weld Thanks I hope this is helpful Brian Read more: 49ccscoot.proboards.com/conversation/22759#ixzz32LQ2tk4pSent from my SPH-L720 using proboards

I did notice autotech now sells a nice looking con rod kit. I was wondering, will the autotech crank fit in the 50cc cases without having to hog the crank area out? By the dimensions autotech355 shows on that 10 pin 45mm stroke crank it should drop right in a 50 case. You would have to change the rod to a 12 pin for the big cylinders and then cut the cases for the Cylinder. I got the 8 port tall hoca Cylinder and 45mm crank from Ryan. I don't know what he was doing he pulled down a 54x45 and built a 55x48. then tore that down and put a 54x45 back in then went to a 55x43 I think. I bought the 54x45 kit between the 48mm and 43mm crank. It was only in a few days. Doesn't look like it ran long enough to seat the Rings Sent from my SPH-L720 using proboards
