The body panel pictures that niz posted look to be identical to the ones on my scoot, but you never can tell until you try them. I pulled these panels off an 'expresso' and replaced them with panels from a Vento Zip R3i Turbocam- they fit the same

I stopped at the scooter shop to see what the guys may have done on this build...Nothing! I guess it is time for me to pick up all of the pieces and take it to my warehouse so I can work on it. I thought they wanted to assist with it but I guess not.
The rear facing intake is being a bit of a problem. There is not much clearance to work with if you try to install it after the motor is installed. I left it off because they told me it had to come off to get the motor out of the scoot. But I think if they had just taken the other end of the motor bracket loose it would be a non issue. Anyway I hope to get it running this week, if workload allows me to. The suspense is killing me!

My buddy and I were able to pick up the scooter from the shop today and take it to the warehouse. The scooter is a long way from being finished, but not that far away from being fired up for a test.
My job is crazy busy ATM, but this weekend I may be should be able to get it running.

Lucked out and got some scoot time in tonight. I came to the conclusion these scooters are diabolical sometimes! If I had known this variant of the zip was such a pita to work on I would have likely gone another direction with this build. This is the first build that I have used a reed spacer on, and I may have to remove it due to clearance issues. By the looks of the intake, the mount was hitting it in stock form, before I even added the spacer. The motor mount is crazy on this scoot. I have most of the pieces for this scoot, I think!

Its looking sharp!Like those bolts holding the CVT cover on..That does look like a crappy mount system, could a different mount be retrofitted in its place??

My Vento Zip was the same. I have one of those mounts I was going to try and use in some fashion for a rear mount carb on the RX8.

I like really like the LOOKS of the CVT cover bolts too, but unfortunately they are aluminum so I will be changing them out soon. The motor mount has rubber bushings on both ends, and 3 rubber padding blocks on top where it contacts the frame. I was thinking some type of solid mounts, but Brent had trouble in the past doing that. I think I will just tough this one out and use the stock cause I am pissed at it now!

With a little help from my buddy and a lot of luck I got it running! It pretty much started right up and ran ok, I adjusted the carb and freed up the airbox just a bit an it sounds GREAT! There is still a good bit left to do before I can even test ride it, but I think I can get it done by the time it stops raining tomorrow.
