Well im starting the build thread. I have been looking at parts cleaning everything on this scoot for some time now. Bit by bit i will have this Vento right where it needs to be. I am going to be changing the whle cvt. the carb, exhaust, and put a big bore kit on. the usual stuff ofcourse. not sure what order to do it though. the brakes need servicing and i want a new cluster with tach on it. i will be styling this thing up for sure. it will be a slow process but stay tuned. i am always open to suggestions cuz this is me learning how towork on this scoot from head to toe.

If you plan on keeping the stock bars and plastics you can get a stock LED gauge cluster with a tach for around 30 bucks.

First step should be the brake service. Fix the stuff that's wrong. Next for me would either be the big bore kit or the gauge cluster. Search "digital tachometer speedometer" on eBay and a bunch of options come up. I've been very happy with the Trail Tech Vapor. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/8614/trail-tech-vapor-information-installationSorry no pics i can only upload 1mb pics. Start a photobucket.com account (free) and they host images for you and you can set it to automatically resize to 800pixels so it fits posts.

Does the vapor have a fuel gauge?

No, but it has a trip odometer. I use known mileage averages and the trip odometer as my fuel gauge. Just gotta play it a little more conservative, but it is linear which none of my stock gauges have been.

I was just wondering. I just put a S6 fuel gauge on because at some point I'll do away with the sigma speedo and trail tech tach and get a complete unit and it seams there are more available w/o fuel.

Does the S6 let you set the resistance range? I see it says in descriptions that it can be set for 100 or 510 ohm. My Triton was only seeing 13-50 ohms from E to F. I did use an Auto Meter gauge at one point that read from 10-73 ohms and it worked pretty well.

Just the two settings. It's on the lower and working but I haven't filled it up an ran it to really test it. I'll check it more later. When I bought it I thought it was a range of resistance not just two settings. It may be. Up to 100 and up to 500.

2004 should be a 12mm wrist pin. He put up a thread about it, but usmcdoc is having some health issues so it may take a bit for him to get back to you or get parts out.
I've bought all of my brakes from eBay, just matching up their pics and measurements with my rotor or pads. You might be able to walk into a shop in OC and get them though. They aren't so vehicle specific like a car or truck so if you can match it up you should be OK.

i am currently running USMCDOCs bbk with a leo vince zx pipe. i am very satisfied with its performance. I simply bolted it on with out any work to the cylinder and it makes good power especially for the price! That TT vapor looks NICE!

I hope doc gets better. i will send some positive energy his way. The price seems great and to hear nothing but good reviews on the bbk has me going his. way. i was able ti get back brakes locally. they didn't have the right front brakes. the back wad really bad. They squeek and when i spin the tire there is a point where it grabs slighty

Thanks, I really like it reads max temp, rev's, trip time, total trip time and few more features I did get the light cluster that fits around it, I have L turn, R turn, light to show that the headlight has power to it ( always look to see that it's on ) and the last is high beam. When I removed the stock cluster I lost the fuel gauge also every time I fill up I just reset the trip meter I'm getting 80 miles before it hits the reserve then I flip the petcock and have went 10 more miles on it.
