I was talking about the screw on intake to air filter adapter of the carb. It's black and looks like a small velocity stack. Some clones don't come with them. Scootertuningca has the regular 19mm for $88 right now plus your 5% disc.it isn't the black race edition with the main jet plug in the bowl but it works for me. I didn't need anything with that carb as far as installing it went.

I'd rather shoot for the screw in the bottom of the bowl, it will make my life much easier. Though the one on ScooterTuning does look like it has the bottom screw? Their pictures don't really do justice though and who is translating their page? Hey katastroff, what gives? The intake adapter is cheap. I'm ok with having to buy a couple of pieces like that adapter and the right throttle cable piece. I don't want to go into cutting up one to make it work, I'll just screw it up I'm sure. Then the carb along with the rest of the scooter will end up in a canal somewhere lol.

Treatland.tv is doing 20% off till Monday and they are a good source for DellOrto stuff as well. I buy jets, needles, adapters, etc.. from them regularly and shipping is very fair so even if you don't buy a carb there check out the accessories this weekend if possible and choosing a DellOrto. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/10722/treatland-black-friday

Now what do I buy? I'm still not entirely sure at what I'm looking at. If I buy that Del on AliExpress (the same store has it on eBay but it's more expensive? WTF?) or from eBay it will be a while till I get it. So I may as well put the whole package together and get the accessories too that I'll need. No? Like will I need a new throttle cable? What choke cable, throttle cable adapter and so on? Would a jet kit going from 70-98 work? Will I need any other accessories? Keep in mind we don't get "frigid" temps here and I'm only running a 72cc with the Next-R pipe. I'm working on the stock airbox right now. The gasket was trashed so I laid in a good bead of silicone into the track of the box and letting it cure today to form a good seal. The filter is still in good shape, my only issue with the stock box is the hose that connects to the carb is so rigid it's hard to take on and off. But it holds the carb well. I know it probably won't fit the Del though and I'm also sure the Dell won't fit as a rear mount either. So you see why I feel like the stock airbox is a waste of my time? Here's what I'm looking at getting so far. If I'm missing anything, link me or PM me.

Can't tell you anything about clones since I've only bought genuine Dells, but here's a 19mm clone and genuine. The clone is way more expensive than what you're looking at on eBay and Ali though. There's a pull choke and a remote choke genuine linked, but the pull choke version is a 21mm. I didn't see the 19mm pull choke there, but I know you can get them or the pull choke is about $15 separate. I use the pull chokes mostly, but that requires being able to reach the carb. If you can't reach the carb then you can use a remote choke lever and cable. I don't see a kit on treatland, but I used a Stage6 remote choke lever kit when I had one. Worked easily enough and I think they come wit different length cables. www.treatland.tv/19mm-race-carburetor-clone-p/19-race-clone.htmwww.treatland.tv/dellorto-PHBG-19mm-black-race-carburetor-p/dellorto-phbg-19-ds-race-2695.htmwww.treatland.tv/dellorto-PHBG-21mm-black-race-carburetor-p/dellorto-phbg-21-ds-race-2699.htmwww.treatland.tv/dellorto-PHBG-pull-choke-p/dellorto-phbg-pull-choke.htm5mm main jets. Most of mine have used 90-105 main jets, but I'm using a 21mm for the most part with a stock airbox minus the snorkel. Whne I tried a 19 vs 21 on the same setup there was a couple percent difference in jet size between the two. You can get kits in the 80s, 90s, 100s, etc... or a larger kit, but I'd be sure to cover the 90s and 100s to start with with an air box/filter at least or maybe move that up to 100s and 110s for open filters. I won't claim my jet numbers to be accurate and I hate giving out jet numbers (this is why I have 70s to 110s jets around for myself) so use that info at your own risk. www.treatland.tv/SearchResults.asp?Search=5mm+jets36 or 38mm air filter adapters for the Dell PHBG or clones. Both will work with a stock airbox, but I recently used the 36mm for the first time and it's a lot easier to fit and hasn't fell off yet. Choose whatever works for your custom setup. www.treatland.tv/SearchResults.asp?Search=dellorto+adapterStock cable info linked below. Otherwise I've used an aftermarket throttle assembly and cable. The end for the carb on a custom cable should just be a plain end with no thread on stuff. If you can get your hands on an Arreche throttle cable adapter for the minarelli then you may have the easiest way to use a stock cable. I think MotionPro or maybe others make cables that are supposed to fit a stock throttle assembly but have the plain end to work with about any aftermarket carb. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/6391/installing-dello-style-carb-cable

Can you post a picture of the stock airbox? I may have one here that will work on the baccio. My stock rear facing airbox for the baccio was a POS if I remember correctly. It barley reached the carb, and did not line up.
A trick I learned here to get the air box connected to the carb is to heat it up with a heat gun.
If you go with the dell, don't forget to buy the smallest inlet adapter, it fits a stock front facing airbox near perfect.

Everything is the same so all I'd need to cover is the throttle cable (the adapter in my cart looks about right, kind of like how your modified adapter looks) also the choke I would need to buy. A pull choke right now would work since the panels are off, but only if I do front mount. I'm looking to make this scoot more of a get up and go, not a open up, turn this, pull that, wait five minutes then push that then close it up and go. Maybe I'm expecting too much. As for the air filters. Right now anything I have fits a 32mm size port so I wouldn't need an adapter just yet. Though I did find a Doppler Alien Eye filter there so I threw that in the cart just to see what my damage is. Jet kids aren't that bad so I'd cover what you said by getting the kit I showed you plus a 100 kit, extra $12 can't be too safe there. I'm trying to avoid cutting and modding really, I'd rather just buy the right parts, put it together and have it work without my messing something up on the mod then having to wait for the parts again. I'm reading the reviews of the clone. Most suggest a W7 or W9 needle, so that will be added too. Haven't found one about the throttle assembly though. I'm going to do some more digging. I'd hate to just blindly buy stuff, but I also hate being under the gun of a sale. *sigh*

IF your main goal is easy, you should seriously consider an Arreche carb meant for the Mina engines. Easiest carb install I've ever done and it uses autochoke. It's nearly like installing another stock carb. I find them to be inferior to the Dell or maybe I just suck at working with them, but some people like them. I also have always had better luck with manual enrichers vs auto.

Forgive me but some of this is still sounding greek to me. SO the inlet on the Dell (clone or not, 19mm) is 32mm? So my current connections wouldn't work? Or would they? I'm trying to keep the setup rear facing but I'm not completely objecting to a front facing. It's just really rough when all you have are vague guesses as to what may work or modifications that worked on other scooters but not your exact setup. *sigh*

I don't mind if I have to route a new cable I just don't want to cut up old parts that are already on the brink of failure to work with it. I also am not trusting the auto choke myself lately. I feel like a manual choke is both safer and more stable.

I have an Arreche 19 that worked great for my first scoot. Just needs $20 worth of parts I left on the old scoot and RP is the only place that I found with the parts. Nothing wrong with electric choke.

I have an Arreche 19 that worked great for my first scoot. Just needs $20 worth of parts I left on the old scoot and RP is the only place that I found with the parts. Nothing wrong with electric choke. That's one part that worries me. The availability of parts. At least with the Dell, I can find jets, spares and everything else easily and from places where I don't have to worry if they will even ship the stuff to me or not. I've read yours and others headaches from RP, no thank you lol. I'm just going to order it and stick with the stock airbox. I've got a nice bead of silicone as a gasket on it, once it cures I'll throw it on there and start fresh. I'm not sure if I'll see the new carb for a few weeks anyways. I'm also thinking of taking the top end of my old carb and the bowl off the one you gave me and see if that does anything. I may change the float needle too, maybe I do have a flow problem. I don't know man. With all thats going on with it and how erratic it is and no one really knowing what it is, I have no choice but to try and start new with that part. So what if I have to order $75 worth of parts to make a $35 clone work, it's cheaper than buying the $150 original and still needing $75 worth of parts lol.
