Hmm... two good question. I've been pretty detailed with this Zip and it's turning out nice. Will make somebody a nice scoot. Have you seen the thread? It's called "Zip flip"... I was thinking $450 on craigslist- 8 hour round trip delivery... hmm. I could do $500 delivered if you really interested. I'm getting close to having it finished and will post vids etc. Of it running and driving.

That's a fair price. I sold a Triton that I fixed up for $600. I don't think it looked as nice with my painting as the Zip. If you come across Niz stop and say hello.

Though I unfortunately have only had my credit cards to work with all of this. So I'd have to pass for now. The money I'm getting from selling my PS4 is going to go towards parts for the Baccio more likely. Or paying down some of the GMW M1 I'm going to go and buy tonight. Timing sucks, but damn dude if I could work something out I'd take it and sell the M1! And Dave, if he were to come, I'd certainly drag him over to say hi. PS. Yes Niz, I saw the thread. You're doing an awesome job!

That would be cool to visit u guys! Not to press the subject as it would be far simpler for me to just sell to a local buyer, but I do have a business merchant PayPal acct... I can take CC pymt.

DAMN YOU!!! The sucky part is I needed it soon, like now. I'm not sure how much longer the Baccio would last really. So I just came home from making the purchase. $900 all in! *cries* I'm picking it up tomorrow. The sad part is for $500 I'd rather have yours but it's too late. I'm having the Baccio placed in trusted hands (Dave) soon I hope, then the GF will be riding the M1 till she can afford a car of her own. Then I dunno what I'm going to do with two scoots! The only thing keeping me from looking to get rid of them is they don't cost for insurance and hardly anything to register. Plus it would be nice having a good backup vehicle too! Or just something to fart around town with, say to go to the beach. But yeah dude, if I had the room on a card (and wasn't already crying about my payments) I'd buy yours just to get you over here. Now I'm thinking of doing it just for giggles lol. Damn these things become addicting.

Yessir they are addicting right!? Ya I was thinking about it and was actually a little excited to meet you and Dave. I envisioned my van stuffed with two scoots and blasting around with other enthusiasts. I also wonder how my stock 90cc would fare against Daves 70mph beast hehe. Well I'm glad you got things figured out scoot-wise. After Dave works his magic on your Baccio, it'll probably much less stressful tinkering on it knowing it's not daily transportation. Enjoyable even! I did like the idea of coming down that way- maybe we'll have to organize a get-together sometime. We could do it in the "winter" and post a vid for the Yankees of us scooting around in the sunshine looking at Christmas lights haha.

That or I'll just be carting the water and gas around. As of tomorrow I'll have four scooters in front of my apartment. My neighbors will think I'm some drug dealer or a pizza delivery guy.

So I went and picked up the scooter today. It was made in 2013 so yay for not being as old as I thought! Got it home in one piece and I couldn't wake to take it for a real ride. Well, up the main road to see how fast it goes.
I spent 15 minutes turning it over (with a jump pack so as to not drain the battery) and it wouldn't start. It started the first try at the dealer when I went to pick it up, but not here! I checked the plug, there was spark. Gas was flowing, air was being sucked in. But WTF???!?!?! I checked the kill switch, everything was working! Except... No one told me the kick stand has a switch on it so that when it's down the scooter won't run. Well I did't really get it yet. I put it on the center stand to take one last look, gave it a try (not realizing I put the kick stand up) and poof, it started! It sounded like it was idling a little low (humidity I gathered) so I raised the idle a bit, I'm thinking I raised it too much now...
So I took it for a ride, short, just to see how it felt. I pulled back in the driveway, put the kickstand down and it DIED! I came back out to turn it over and said "Hmm, let me see something." I put the kickstand up and it started and THEN it dawned on me. I looked and sure as shit, there's a little push switch. Now it starts fine every time, as long as I remember to put the stand up!
So I took it for a run. Not really windy out, mostly flat ground and I took my tablet with me to GPS it. It's totally stock and with my 240lb self it got up to 38mph steady WOT. I didn't hold it wide open though for too long, she only has just under 500 miles on it. So I want it to break in nicely since I'm not sure how the previous owner was.
Yes it's a 4t and I know it's not going to have the torque that a 2t has, but it moves well. Feels tighter than the Baccio, maybe because it's a smaller frame bike. The plastic bucket under the seat worries me though with my size, but I got it mainly for the GF to ride for now. Yeah well that may change soon because I think she's on her way out. No, I'm sure she's on her way out actually.
So here I am with two scoots. One running, the other one making a racket.
So Dave... I'm bringing Christine over soon and she will be all yours to toy with!
Sadly I didn't get to GPS the Baccio, I won't even bother because it's speedometer barely creeps to is own 35mph right now. It just feels like something is way out of whack with it and the noise it makes at the low RPM is worse than before it seems.
So let's see how this story unfolds in the future. I spend $900 for a scooter for the GF and well, I probably shouldn't have for THAT reason. But it is kind of cool having one more dependable in case the car dies or if I just want to take a joy ride.

At least you didn't spend $900 on a ring. She probably would've taken that with her.

That reminds me, buying a new(er) scooter only shows me how filty my Baccio was. Don't worry, I'll be taking some pics of the new one tomorrow, providing she doesn't wreck it on me.

Sounds like you got a good scoot. If she leaves there'll be more room for scoots. scooters can be finicky but you'll never figure out a woman. Hope it works out for you bro.
